Just shows how many picks the Steelers have wasted over the years

Most of them were UDFAs and 6th or 7th rounders.

I did notice Wheaton was out in Philly. Seems like we got the best there was to have out of them.

There is such a fine line between success and failure in this league

You could put a list like this together for every team in the league. Most of the names on this list were never expected to have long NFL careers.

Someone will pick up Bryant and try to deal with his suspension. Don’t be suprised if it’s New England.

The Giants cut Gay, the bigger surprise was they cut their 3rd round draft pick QB Davis Webb as well...

So only 4 were picked in the top 4 rounds and we got a whole lot out of Bryant before he showed himself the door out of the league. Grant, Thomas and Wheaton are the only ones that could be considered failed picks and we even got a few decent years out of Markus before moving on

I was surprised by the Webb cut too, he must have really struggled.

And now GS is on the chargers backing up rivers on a 1 year deal, he just bounces from 1 team to the next for short stays.....

That would be munchaks Johnson. If he was still here he would have been all pro by now under munch. OK OK maybe at least a good player. :hehehe::smiley1::cool:

Wheaton and Martavis had a positive role in Pittsburgh overall. Not bad for mid grade picks. If Martavis could lay off the ganga, he may have had a successful career. Ayers did well for a 7th round pick.

Out of the list, Shamarko Thomas stands out as the greatest disappointment. Doran Grant was a wasted pick. The other players don't really matter.

    Overall not too bad IMO.
