Curious to see if he reports?

I read somewhere that the Steelers can file a roster exempt status and Bells first 2 game checks have to be negotiated before he signs his tender.

I’m also curious to his teammates thoughts if he doesn’t show up today.

He said he would....or at least I think he said he would. Then again he says don't believe everything you hear... so I'm pretty confused right now....
I'm sure his teammates are used to the drama at this point either way...

If he does report I hope he is in shape and ready to put the contract stuff behind him. If not I'd rather he just stay home.

I wouldn't think the main office would be staffed as well as the league office. So while he could sign today it would be more symbolic than anything

Considering what the Raiders just netted for Mack... does it make sense to trade Bell? If we can land a 1st round pick next year - I say hell yes.

Tunch and Wolfe are saying he's still in Florida. They are speculating on whether he would sit out games. Whatever. He's a great talent and I'd love to have him back but I think this team can beat Cleveland without him.

They should pull his tag and move on without him, he is a detrement to this team and it's time to let him go on his merry way...

Last time he pulled this crap, he wasn't ready or in game shape. It took a few games for him to get it together.

Smart move by Leveon who I believe at this point is done with the Steelers. Force the team to sign and trade you while you have value. He has nothing to gain but everything to lose if he has a bad season, gets injured or gets suspended By holding out it forces the teams hand. No way in hell they sign and keep a disgruntled Running Back all year to lose him next year so it potentially is a good move for both. I'm not happy about it but Leveon has to strike while the iron is hot and while his value is clear (Gurley's contract is a barometer)
Hope Colbert is working those phones.

And if they pull it now I'm disappointed in the way they handled it. Should have released him in free agency they knew from last yr he wasn't accepting a deal with low guranteed money. And then khalil mack and others dont help pitt at all certain teams are willing to pay up for hof talent.

Dosent sound like hes going to report. I saw this coming. Im not sure if theres anyway to move him or not. But if there is make a deal and get whatever you can. If not, just rescind the tag and be done.

Sure he can. He can get a deal worked out then run it by Bell’s agent.

I think they could work on a sign and trade. I am pretty sure he has to have signed the franchise tender to actually trade him though.

Bell won't be in football shape. It's one thing to miss preseason games, but to miss all that practice time does make a difference.

I doubt the Steelers are getting a first-round pick for Bell. Running backs don't last long and he is a year further into his career than Mack. If he doesn't show, his teammates should be tearing him a new one privately, if not in public. It's one thing to skip training camp, but quite another if he starts missing games.

I think he’s gonna find out the hard way what his real value is. Can’t wait for his disappointment.

If we rescind the tag we get nothing for him. If we let him play his little games we get at least 7 games plus playoffs out of him and a 2020 3rd round comp pick.

We can't trade him until he signs his tag. I'm not sure what we could get for him because of his age, mileage, cap hit, and contract status. Our only hope of getting much in a trade is if Oakland (the league's trading *****) needs a RB.

That's what the FO gets for letting him sit out the whole summer for a 2nd year in a row. I know he's entitled based on the CBA, but no one player is bigger than the team. Once it was obvious he was going to do it again, they should have worked out a deal and get rid of him. The FO let the player dictate the terms, which is a big mistake.

I don't believe he deserved better treatment than James, but that's exactly what he received.

Unfortunately I think you're wrong. With the recent contacts dished out, he's gonna get more than he deserves from some team.

The Rooneys and FO naively thought they were dealing with a rational human being. The rest of us knew the writing was on the wall when the dumbass had this brilliant notion of combining the salary of a RB and WR because he does both.
