If Jones were as good as Nick Foles, I would agree with you. He isn't. We have seen the best of him and it isn't good enough. Go with the young guys, go with potential, let's see if they continue to develop.

Actually, I ran down to Dollar General and picked one up - and they'll be worth a mint on ebay - it was a misprint! :rawk::clapping:

I see the Steelers giving Dobbs a chance bye bye Landry.

We used a draft pick for QB 3 out of the last 4 years. Jones is an UFA in 2019. Assuming he signs elsewhere we'd then have to use another draft pick for a QB next spring. That would mean 4 draft picks in 5 years on QBs.

Why trade Dobbs for low draft pick only to spend a mid round pick to replace him? Trading Jones just makes more sense. It's either that or tell Dobbs to cut himself shaving so we can put him on the PUP list for the Year.

If you trade Dobbs that means you go into next year with only Ben and Rudolf under contract. No way do you sign Landry to be your #3 QB

If you trade Jones. That means you go into next year with Ben, Rudolf, and Dobbs already under contract. You let Dobbs and Rufolf sort it out in camp. Maybe you get lucky and parlay one of them into another draft pick in the future.

IMO you send Jones for what ever offer you get. He won't be on the team next year anyway. So get something for him now.

Why the love for Dobbs? He's shown nothing since being drafted. I hated the pick when they made it. He wasn't very good at Tenn. His arm is suspect and he's a run first QB. Why do we want a worse version of Vick?

The funny-strange thing here is the more confidence management has in Rudolph, the more willing they are to part with Landry IMO. To me, if Landry is traded away, that means they REALLY liked what they saw in Rudolph. Stuff you see when watching the "film."

Rudolph has a stronger arm than Dobbs and is a better QB than Dobbs. The upside makes it a very easy decision. Where Dobbs has an advantage is in his athleticism, he's fast and can scramble.

What if Dobbs get no trade offers with the expectation teams can scoop him up for free on the waiver wire?? If that happens, we need to find a way to keep 4 QBs on the active roster with the hope we can get an offer soon, knowing that we're not giving him away for free....

The taunting call was awesome. Good to see Rudolph full of rage and fury.

Yeah, definitely saw something I hadn’t expected to see from him on that. Liked it a lot.

Still not sure how it was taunting, mind.

Dobbs made the best of a meaningless pre season game and from what reports are saying and played lights out. Against scrubs. And what has he done previous?

Not saying I am in the keep Jones camp but if Ben does go down for a few he can step in and keep the seat warm. It's a comfort level for this team that is on the cusp of a Super Bowl berth.

Dobbs being a starter in this league are premature.

Dobbs will be released and hopefully goes to the practice squad.
