One to go. Who's in trouble?

One preseason to go and who is in trouble of not making the team?

Berry for one. Wile has out played him. Could save some money too.

Dirty red. I'd say he is on the bubble depending on how many we keep. Some good , but the kid and fort are playing better.

Chickillo. Haven't seen much since he's been here really. Again on the bubble. The two youngsters, OA and Adams look good.

Walton. Haven't seen a great deal from him. Again bubble guppie. Sayles, hooks have looked good but has anyone stood out?

Anyone else?

I'd still get rid of McCullers tbh
Samuels and Ridley unfortunately. Samuels to the PS for sure, Ridley I like over touissant but Fitz has elevator footage of something. Only reason I can fathom

 

Brian Allen is on the bubble too i bet

 

I would give Wile one more look and go with him.
I'm not sure they are ready for OLA, Adams or Thomas to be one play away from being a starter. Dirty Red, Chickillo should be safe.
Walton has more versatility then any of the backup linemen. Sayles and Hooks need more development in my opinion. Maybe another year on the practice year and they should be ready.

 

Matakevich may be in trouble. The kid has heart and plays hard, but I'm not sure he has made enough plays thus far?

 

All the receivers except for AB, JU JU, Washington, Hey-bay, Hunter, and Patterson.

All the TEs except for JJ, XG and Vance

 

He's special teams only. Made several tackles on that side of the ball and blocked two punts last year. He won't be the first up to replace Bostic or Williams but he secured his place on special teams. IMHO.

 

Maybe, be interesting to see how this plays out.

 

Ridley is gone. Patterson wont make the 53 either.

 

Fitzgerald toussaint is probably gone too.

 

We have real problems at LB after Watt, Bud and Vince... and those three aren't world beaters (yet, anyway).

 

Young yes but I don't think any of those guys are a problem.

 

I'd keep Ridley over fitz myself

Totally agree. Samuels looks like he offers more than Ridley or Toussaint.

 

When did Matakevich make a pro bowl?

 

There are quite a few bubble players

Berhe, Dangerfield, Adeniyi, Adams, Brian Allen, Sensabaugh, Samuels, Ridley, Fitz, Walton, Big Dan,

I think M. Allen and Patterson are headed to the PS for sure, so I think they are just outside the bubble. Tucker too. Dobbs is on the outside too, but that was always gonna be the case. He’s PS bound as well.

IMO I feel Patterson should be kept over DHB or Hunter, I also feel we can't keep big Dan and Walton. I think Dobbs will be cut but will go to the PS(if he can), I think there is a battle between Forte and Thomas. One of the biggest question will be with us looking at more of the "dollar" defense does that mean more safeties will be kept? One heck of a battle with Dangerfield, Berhe, Allen and Golden.

 

I looked and can’t find anything that he made a Pro Bowl?

 

Fan voting means little. We are going to need all hands on deck to make this season a success. Whomever makes it has to lay better than we did last year. 13-3 will be hard to top but we have to find consistency even if the record isn't the same. The offense is a year older and we need help from the defense. One thing that looks good so far are STs and that must continue. We do need to find a punt returner though. That makes a huge difference.

 

I will be very surprised if they cut McCullers after giving him some significant time with the 1s.

 

Fan voting isn't making the Pro Bowl. Mike Mitchell and Jordan Berry were also high on the fan voting list.
