The Packers super bowl loss is still pretty fresh so it's been number one for a while for me. The Mendy fumble was brutal. It's crazy that we still could have won although we played so awful.

I was at the San Diego game and I never heard a crowd so quiet leaving the stadium, but that loss didn't upset me like the loss to the Raiders in '76 because I thought the Steelers would have been killed by the 49ers in the Super Bowl. Not quite as bad as the Chargers lost, but bad. I didn't think our offense couldn't keep up with Steve Young, Ricky Watters and Jerry Rice.

We are really doing this again? There is no worse loss than the 94 chargers game. It is not even close..... I understand some people are saying the 76 raiders and I get that but that team was really good and we were missing alot of key players..... The 95 sbl against cowboys was bad only cause we really should have won that game but if michael irving and the whole defense and offensive line were not partying and doing blow all week the would have probably beat us by 30. The patriots game bens rookie year was tough but it was tom brady and that team was really good. And then there were the kordell choke jobs that we all expected..

Most depressing regular season loss? Last year's patriots game. It no doubt had a domino effect throughout the playoffs.
Post Season? '95 AFC championship vs Chargers

Surprised no one has mentioned this one: the playoff loss in Denver to Tim Tebow.

I would say the Super Bowl loss to the Packers.

I was at the game. If only someone would have told me ahead of time they were going to lose, I would have saved the $.

The Tebow loss was a wildcard road game at Mile High, plus Ryan Clark could not play due to sickle cell anemia and Ben was playing on one leg. I was pissed off for about a month and then I got over it. Not nearly as devastating as '94, '97, '01, '04 and '16 AFC Championship losses.... along with Super Bowl XXX and XLV. I'm still full of fury and rage over the loss to the Chargers in January of '95 and it's been 23 years. That game scarred me for life. Psychological wounds that will never heal.

AFCC game to San Diego, followed closely by 2001 loss to Patriots. Patriots one mostly because I had tickets to that Superbowl already. The sad part is I ended up rooting for the Patriots and Brady because they were the underdog. If I only knew...

Yeah this is the one that always comes to mind for me too.

For me the second most gut wrenching loss was when BFT left the message board :-(

Plus the fact in that charger game when we absolutely dominated that first half and were only up 10 points and then the bottom feeder played marty ball. I still hate cower for that game and many others..........

2001 AFC Championship game. It was the beginning of my overwhelming hatred for all things Patriots. I couldn’t eat for a week. I still can’t believe we lost that game.

This is the one here for me. The defense went balls out that game, yet it wasn't enough. That was the beginning of the Steelers / Patriots rivalry for me.
Tough to see they've consistently had our number since then.
