Once he signs his franchise tag trade him to the Redskins, their rookie RB Derius Guice tore his ACL in their first preseason game. Wishful thinking on my part :hehehe:.

If I were the Steelers since he is avoiding camp to avoid injury I would demand a full physical before he signs the tag and they are on the hook for his medical and salary. Reports today about his private workouts with footwork coach. Since he isn't under contract he isn't protected if I'm not wrong. So if he injures himself and hides it it could bite the team in the rear end.

Was gonna say that I'm sure their docs would point anything out, but he don't have to have a physical prior to signing a tag correct? Good demand thorn hope they adhere to your guidance hahahahahaha

The article I read today just reminded me of Bettis's book and how he was afraid he was going to get cut by the Steelers and he had a bad hamstring so he hid the injury waited until preseason game went into the pile and acted like he hurt it on the play. Boom he goes on IR and isn't cut and keeps his money.

I member reading that in his book as well. Not out of the realm of possibility. Smart suggestion you brought up... doubt that it's protocol as I think it should be prior to any contract or tag signing but it's probably against the rules to demand a physical prior to a tag signing with all the wacky ass players association demands that still seem to never get it right

I liked Guice. Actually was hoping the Steelers were looking his direction. I don't like hearing young players like that have these serious injuries, but that's the risk at the running back position especially.

Someone will be willing to take the gamble on Le'veon and pay him what he's looking for, and considering the Redskin's track record, it wouldn't surprise me a bit. I do know I'd have a lot of friends who are Redskin fans that would be giving me a lot of hell over it as they rub it in my face however. lol

As much as I like Le'veon and what he's done for this team, at this point I see the relationship broke. I'd be cool with a trade with good value. I'd just root for the guys in there right now working their butts off through camp to earn their position.

I thought you already made a "bold prediction" thread :lolol:

Ya never know, I'm sure the GMs are always on the phones..

Josh Norman or Fabian Moreau plus some compensation would be enticing....lol Then move Sutton to FS. Corners would be stacked!!

If offered a 1st rounder, might be hard to turn down.

They would be fools if they dont give him a physical, they have that right, they will in my opinion, thats just protecting their 14.5 M investment....

He does not take a physical prior to signing. After signing, they do the physical. If a player fails the physical the contract can be voided by the team.

That's what I thought, but tag contracts are different so didn't know as lame as that sounds.
