    https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/...-some-problems-learning-the-raiders-playbook/

"If the Raiders felt like they were getting a steal when they traded for Martavis Bryant back in April, they're probably not feeling the same way now after roughly two weeks of training camp."

"Bryant is coming along so slowly that the team has basically had to put him on training wheels."

"Not only has Bryant been a disappointment in camp, but apparently, he's had a tough time learning the team's playbook. During a segment on NFLNetwork this week, former Raiders wide receiver James Jones said that Bryant's inability to learn the playbook has been a source of frustration for the team's coaching staff, including offensive coordinator Greg Olson."

They should keep it easier for him.

Run down to the last guy and look back.

Run to the middle of the field and look back.

Run to the end zone and look back.

    :smiley1::cool:

When you take pages of the play book for rolling papers. It's a little hard to learn what was on it.

If that happens, should we re-sign him? :hmm:

Well, he is in California now. Maybe Cheech and Chong can tutor him.

I know MB has never been the sharpest knife in the drawer, but do you think maybe he's screwing up on purpose because Chucky's way is harder than he is used to?

If he gets cut, he can be "peace out" and go somewhere easier. Hell the Browns are losing WRs by the buckets and we see it is totally easy street there. You
don't even have to practice if you don't feel like it. Even when Haley speaks out about it, he is told to just shut up. I bet Todd would take MB over all the
no shows he is dealing with now.

Would have been the worst landing spots for him. Hope he can stay clean and get it together there.

Maybe he's not used to a more disciplined environment.

I don't think there's some great strategy being employed by Martavis to go somewhere else. If he had a pet zebra, he'd name it "Spot". The Raiders should hold cue cards like they did for Forrest Gump.

Time will tell. MB would probably be considered a hard worker in Cleveland.

Remember when Tomlin tried to "Butch up" by taking ping pong privileges away in the locker room (from just the young guys, taking it away from
vets would be just too harsh.) :lolol:

Martavis Bryant's problem is pot, not his ability to play the game. He played fine for us. Gruden's expectations are just way too high.

I have a hard time with the concept that players getting multimillion dollar deals to run a route and catch a football have difficulty with learning one task in learning a playbook.

Get a tutor hired and figure it out. Should have been doing that the moment he knew where he was going. I really don't feel sorry for him if he falls flat on his face.

And sure pick him back up again for the league minimum to compete for a job if he gets cut. I wouldn't pay him more than that. It appears as if he's blown it.

Agree, maybe its because I've worked with my hands my adult life, but the "separation" is very wide between fans and players.

Well, then how do you explain this video which was obviously recorded AFTER Tomlin supposedly suspended ALL players from playing ping pong?! :hehehe:
