Oh you weren't around for that....well just imagine through some sort of scientific experiments that Jim Brown and Gale Sayers had a son. That's how he felt about Redman....lol. I actually liked Redman too...just not that much.
Nice synopsis above on players in camp. The thing I never doubted about Conner was his ability to work and overcome adversity and it seems to be serving him well...

As far as Dupree ,I'm gonna play Debbie downer and say I'll believe it when it actually counts.....

 

Heard Edmund's has two Ben interceptions. Ben has practiced two days and Edmund's has intercepted him in each.

 

Yep. Granted one was an incorrect route to AB.


Regardless, Terrell is having a good camp thus far. Let us see if he can continue putting together good practices.

Conners looks good and is hitting the hole hard and catching passes very well . If the Team wants Coach T'S respect he should name Conner the starter week 1 .

 

Slightly off topic but former Steeler DB Ross Cockrell suffered a likely broken leg at Panthers camp today. Ouch. That can't be good news for a DB. They were expecting big things from him this year.

He also gave up two big plays where he got scorched.

 

I'm sure you made these same comments before last season, the team finished 13-3 .

Your overall point isn't a bad one. Didn't Tomlin say there would be a consequence if Bell sits out the entire preseason again? That consequence needs to be public and it needs to at least have some teeth.

I would say though what James Conner does this Preseason and the likely amount of limited time he will see during the regular season is an "audition" for 2019 unless somehow, some way, a deal can get done.

I am SO scared.

 

Conner has clearly put in the work.He is picking up the blitz much better, he is catching the ball much better, he is in great shape,he is hitting the hole fast . The OL will be used to that instead of the tap dancing of Bell.

Coach T stated the reason Conner was not playing was his blitz pick up last season.Then in the off season he stated conditioning was a big part of him not playing . So Conner fixed what the Coach said needed fixed and he is in camp putting in the work to continue getting better . It sends a strong Team message to reward the guy who is putting in the work.

 

Yea by one of the best offenses in the NFL and he's been here a week in camp.

That is a small sample size. Then again, so are the two interceptions. Both are relatively meaningless.

 

I found the safety's miss particularly troubling. He seemed to react too slowly and could only manage a dive. That is exactly the kind of crap that was happening too often last season. Man, this team misses Ryan Clark.

 

I’ve not heard much of Samuels so far. Does anyone know how he’s looking on the field?
