Better get on the jugs gun. He needs help catching the ball.

I'm not seeing this problem catching the football. I did see him catch 10 against Jacksonville. Definitely cool to see.

Have to be on the field to catch them or drop them, that's the main concern. Injuries take there toll over time. Hopefully Jesse can keep improving too. It may keep Jesse hungry to improve as he has over time.

Against the Steelers, should Brady throw to the wide open receiver, or the slightly less wide open receiver...

He had 10 solid catches and looked like a world beater in that game, but it was based on the situation, more than him being some uncoverable ball magnet. He had some drops too.

Please go over his career numbers, you will see his catching ability is suspect thru out his pro
career. Drops one's he should catch.

I have no concerns for him at tight end except injuries. If he's on the field, he's proven to be an asset. So I'm excited about next year for him. Think we'll see good things.

He can catch, his problem is always getting hurt. He has some good YAC ability, for sure.

And that definitely describes Jesse James.

And this is why SF got rid of him, what for a fourth rounder. The Steelers overpaid for this player
catch 10 passes this week drop 2 next week receiver, over and under of him playing 10 games?

Uhh, before we get too gaga over Vance.

Against Jax 5 of his 10 catches and 57 of his 112 yds came in the last 4 minutes of the game
Vance's career high game for receptions was 6, before the Jags game. And 5 of the 10 in that game came in the last four minutes - with prevent D in garbage time.

Look, Vance is an improvement, if he can stay healthy, over JJ. But that's about all.

Less than a week into camp he already hurt his foot.

Vance McDonald had an injury E-I-E-I-O.

These talented free agent TE's don't seem to be working out very well in Pittsburgh lately. If James stays healthy and keeps improving, he seems fine.

We've had two good TEs that could stretch the field, but couldn't stay healthy after Miller left: Green and McDonald. Both were great when they can play.

Green was more like a big wide receiver. McDonald is a complete package like Miller, but without the durability.

I like the blocking from McDonald but he is too shaky catching the ball. He has had some good games but I also remember seeing him drop 2 sure TDs and one hit him square in the numbers and I also saw 4 drops that would have converted 1st downs but ended up killing drives. He is faster and more athletic than JJ, there is no doubt about that, but I also saw JJ make some tough catches in traffic and while he has dropped a couple of passes it isn't many.

JJ is slow and not a very good blocker.

Vance is much more athletic and a much better blocker.

However Vance appears to be one of the most injury prone players I can remember so as they say the best ability is.....

I’m pretty sure JJ will be our main TE because Vance will be injured sure as ****

James is not fine, He stinks...Slow, weak, and cant block...Why do you think the Steelers keep bringing in TE's to replace him...run 3 yards, catch it, and fall down...and lately...He isn't even assured of catching it...

My God the dude couldn't even stumble forward a freakin half yard against NE without holding on to the ball...He sucks ass

JJ is serviceable. There are bigger problems to spend the money on.
