This kid looks legit. I am so sick of using a stumpy, slow RB as a KR.

Year after year this team virtually ignores KR. Now this kid from Pitt could fix that.

Also, the tune with the video jams out.

    … Uh, yeah, uh what
Baby girl, what you doing, where your mans? (where your man)
I just popped a xan, fifty thousand in Japan (fifty thousand in Japan)

But I think we really could use the skillz of a dude like Quadree. They've been ignoring the KR spot for freakin' ever.

Indeed. And he wouldn't be the 1st good looking college kick returner who did nothing in the NFL. We've had our fair share of flame outs there (Dri Archer).

But reports say Fitchner is fond of jet sweeps and the like. And this kid would excel at those, so that gives him a little extra shot at making the team. We know AB, Ju Ju and Washington are locks, so that gives DHB, Hunter, Quadree, Griffey, Thomas a chance to fight out for the 2 spots left.

What happened to Rogers, by the way? Ben said he had the skills to be best slot WR he ever played with, but now he is a FA?

Was Archer even that good as a kick returner in college? I honestly don't remember. The team became infatuated with Archer's speed and wasted a draft pick on a guy who sure as hell sucked as a kick returner, and everything else, as a pro. He also couldn't return punts, which you think they would have realized was a negative for a guy they were bringing in at least partially due to his ability to return kicks.

Henderson was a dynamic return guy in college and hopefully he will be useful in that area as a pro, but he is far from a sure thing. Some people around here keep getting way too excited about rookie free agents.

I think I saw one video of Dri returning a kick or punt, and that's hardly iron clad proof he was great at it. Dri was a Haley-influenced pick; he was obsessed with little fast guys.

The best part of Henderson is the punt return ability. We have had kick returners in the past but they were limited as punt returners. This kid CAN do both well. He can also help at a position. We need a punt returner, not a lot of guys can do this. As a kick returner he keeps juju off the field from doing this and as a punt returner he keeps AB off the field from doing this. He can run jet sweeps. His WR skills are not as great but decent and hopefully Drake can help with those. Can he play punt and kick coverage though is a question. This is the part along with the WR part that raises the questions between Henderson, DHB and hunter. Allen will be one gunner.

Hunter is probably the better WR. DHB is the better gunner. Henderson is the better returner. This will be interesting to watch.

He better be adept at WR first ...there is no room on this roster for a return specialist. Too many other needs and talent....

Yes, very good. Decent RB and receiver too. I remember injuries and academics being his biggest problem in college, and his tiny size. I think he had personal issues, since he didn't bother to show up at Buffalo after they picked him up on waivers.

Yeah great KR not so much on the PR. I do think Henderson makes the team. We can’t take a hit at WR this year. We don’t have the depth. Right now the only 2 you can say can be trusted in the WR spot are AB and JuJu both return men. I think Henderson is the first return specialist they have brought in that does both.

He hasn’t even made it to training camp yet and captain clickbait has annointed him as the second coming of Jesus Christ.

I think it was the evil emperor who was credited with figuring out that having your kicker try to kick to the 1 yard line so it has to be run back will cause the opposition to fall short of the 25 yard line on average (never mind that this flies in the face of the changes in rules for safety to reduce run backs). Anyway, if a team has a legit run back threat, then the opposing coach won`t do that and should tell his kicker to kick it out of the end zone. We could benefit from this IMO as I bet we begin possession on average inside the 25 on kick-offs. It may be worth a roster spot if it played out that way. I liked the technique this guy has. He good speed, but what I see is he has natural ability to see where to go to avoid tacklers, which cannot be taught.
