These are my good, bad and ugly predictions for this season.


Good= Steelers finally live up to the hype and become a top 3 ppg scoring team.

Bad = Run defense still soft

Ugly = Bud plays healthy but regresses lol

Good - Ben makes it back to the big dance.

Bad - a key contributor gets hurt

Ugly - this board after a loss

Good: how the defense will play and show the critics that Steeler football is alive and well

Bad: The hurting we will lay on teams who think we are soft.

Ugly: The first 4 weeks as Bell shows off his I'm in football shape conditioning. Also my use of the Royal "we" when referring to the team since I never do it and have no official title with the team except for keeper of the lore and holder of the keys to the pit of misery. Dilly Dilly

Good: Improvements on the defense.

Bad: The continued inconsistency in the defense.

Ugly: Ben's play in 3-4 games spread across the season, which will lead to numerous calls for retirement/giving Rudolph a chance.

 

Good / The Steelers again win the AFC North

Bad / The Steelers again fail to win the AFC

Ugly / An angry Ben Roethlisberger retires after a miserable season of hearing idiots in the stands and media call for Mason Rudolph to play, after every incomplete pass. Ben immediately unretires and signs a 3 year contract with the Ravens.

 

I know you are joking, but just for the record, retiring and un-retiring does not allow a player to sign with any other team unless their contract has expired. Steelers would still control Ben's rights.

 

1.) Several players have pro bowl seasons again, Steelers win div.

2.) We lose more games than as of late having a tougher schedule, having to play ATL, Panthers, Jags, LAC, Broncos, Raiders, N.O., Pats. We may put up a pedestrian 9-7 record with that schedule.

3. The Ugly. Our D continues to be soft and vulnerable to deep passes down the middle, as our safeties continue to get lost deep and on crossing patterns. We will be calling out for Butler's job but the Rooneys will apply too much patience on making a move like usual. Tomlin will wear his "cool shades" and twirl his headset cord, but the natives will grow further restless as signs of weak discipline and poor focus remain.

 

I know. I was just joking. Can't think of a scenario much uglier than that.

 

Good: JuJu, O-line, Ben and AB
Bad: Rush defense
Ugly: Bell for the entire month of September

 

Good: We go undefeated
Bad: Government
Ugly: me, I'm pretty ugly!

 

Mark Twain added two other allowable categorical exceptions: An editor of a newspaper and someone with a tapeworm.

 

Well... if voters would quit voting in politicians who hate government, maybe government would get better.

 

Bad: Jaguars are the 2nd best team in the AFC by a good margin.
Extra Bad: Tom Brady is still QB for the Patriots.

 

Good - We win the AFC North and make the playoffs
Bad - We lose games against sub 500 teams that will come back to bite us in the ass
Ugly - Because of Bad above, we don't get the #1 seed, we lose in the playoffs and don't make it to the Superbowl again
