All the more reason I did state your contradiction from the previous post was worse than the first.

Troy could have and should have started his first year, he was better than what we had starting at safety, tim lewis screwed that up but troy would have played well as a rookie starter, he had 30 tackles and two sacks in spot duty, lewis wasted his natural talent his rookie year...........

And some guy they grabbed off the scrap heap could become an All-Pro, like James Harrison, but it is foolish to count on such things.

If you look up quickly enough and you can see my point as it sails over your head.

The only aspect that is sailing over my head is the level of fallacy within the logic that is being presented here.

Alabama nabs talent like candy in a candy store. Other college teams do this as well should they have either the prestige or established success to do it. In those systems, it is "feast or be feasted". No binaries. Only spectrums.

    No one is arguing Frazier was good enough to start at Alabama here, which is again, what I have stated. What I am implying here is that he has far more potential than others realize given his relatively young age. Furthermore, regarding his ability to start at another college, here is what Christina Rivers of Steel City Underground had to say;

"Had Frazier gone to a different college, his career could have gone very differently."

Not many teams in college obtain five star recruits that are defensive lineman like Alabama does; SEC doubly so. In that aspect, Joshua would have yielded different results, ergo likely being projected earlier than he was.

    Again..

Cute dog. That was the only real value in your post.

Speculation by Christina Rivers is still speculation. The guy was a college backup and he really didn't do much when he did get to play. In spite of your false assertion, I never said he was doomed from the start. Scouting doesn't work like that. It's about probability, and the probability is that a college backup is extremely unlikely to make the impact for the Steelers that you expect from Frazier.

One position that is going to be fun to watch is WR. I'm rooting for Justin hunter to take a big step up and help this team. Why? I don't know but with that size and speed I'm hoping he becomes a weapon we can use in the multiple sets. Maybe Drake can get him over the hump. He had one year with Mann and now Drake to teach them to be really good blockers, amongst other things. I think he could become an asset. With that said we have a lot of receivers here vying for a couple of spots. Let the battles begin.

Then they are as flawed as your use of the English language.

I'm really sorry you hare having so much trouble understanding my point. Perhaps you should spend less time looking up and misusing big words and try to master the ones in front of you.

I never said he was doomed. I am saying it is extremely unlikely that a player who couldn't even start in college will make a big impact as a rookie. Those two statements are not contradictory.

If I have to choose 1 from each group...

RB. Samuels - He potentially may be Bell's replacement next year ...since Connor can't catch
WR Washington - Can he stretch the field, can he fill Bryant's shoes??...
QB Rudolph - Is he Ben's replacement or a scrub??
OL Chuk's - Can he be reliable within 2 years??
DL Frazier - Need to beat out McCullers if he hasn't improved this year...
ILB Mathews - Can he potentially be great??
OLB Huguenin - Can he potentially be great??
DB Edmunds - Let's pray this guy can make a play for us, Mitchell was extremely worthless...
