    What made him go undrafted?

He's got the size, and is fast enough (4.5) so why did he not get drafted?

Team leading tackler (85), 10 for loss.

Maybe a diamond in the rough?

To me, production rules all else; being a good FSU D's leading tackler bodes well.

I am looking forward to see what Thomas looks like at rookie camp. Hipefully we can use him on the inside. Has nice physical traiys. I think I am actually more excited for Olasunkanmi Adeniyi. He looks like a Steeler OLB.

2 shoulder surgeries, a lost season and a suspension. But, if he can
Keep his $#|¥ together, he could be your diamond in the rough.

Yea we've been over this guy for awhile now. I had us taking him in many mocks. He was looked at by the team pretty well. They did have a plan and it worked out. They did really well after the draft if anyone isn't aware. If Thomas gets his act together he will be a boost to the inside. He ran a 4.44 at his pro day at 232lbs and is near 6-3.

We got a very good return man too.

And guess what , yes a safety. :smiley1:

A good looking OLB. A few good o-linemen and some d-linemen and a pretty good CBi.

Oh and let's not forget, a pretty good RB.

I wonder if the team knew for sure that he would sign with Pittsburgh as an undrafted free agent? If so, that's why they didn't draft an ILB.

Tomlin may have stumbled on one of the first UFDA classes in a long time that contains some valuable gems.

Here is hoping that these guys can crack the final 53 and, if not, the practice squad.

    I doubt it personally.

There really is no form of foreshadowing who will be available where in the draft. Way too many variables.

The only negative I have heard on him is that he is dumber than a bag of hammers.

I like the pick, but he went undrafted.

The Steelers had no idea he'd be available or not get drafted.

So this pickup had nothing to do with what was drafted.

Most defenders can be. As long as they have the mere instincts to find and kill the ball carrier.

They looked at this guy and knew he could be there.they looked at quite a few options that they thought could be there after this draft.worley, Thomas, the kid from NC and the kid from maryland. They had a good idea who might be available.

He went undrafted for many reasons. He's not a leader, gets beat as he gets lost easily, misses assignments, not too fluid, medical issues, and not one who can learn the playbook. These are some of the things I've read about him from those who get paid to evaluate, and not my opinions. Hope he works out, but not every UDFA becomes a Keelan Cole for JAX.

Yea, there's a reason you go undrafted.

Not at all. The team has been very transparent as to why they didn’t draft an ilb.

Their excuse that only the top ILB's fit what they wanted makes no sense. There were fast ILB's available in the 2nd and 3rd round and average speed ILB's available in the 5th.

Last year not having one more quicker/better ILB hurt us in the playoffs.

I doubt that because there was no way they could know for sure that he wouldn't get drafted.
