On the plus, I like that Rudolph and Washington already have chemistry. Since they were in the same system, hopefully they can build off each other.

Immediate impact on offense and defense. A first round talent at qb in the third round. They’ve lost their damn minds. Their second pick in the third round was a head scratcher to me, but the rest make sense.

Well, in reality every rookie is a project or at least 99.8% of them are. He has no position to call his. He played no position for 2-3 years. So any position will be a project. I have a belief in certain sub-packages (or more) the Steelers may hope to play Edmunds in Shazier's role sans play calling. Physically they match closely.
    Code:
                 Shazier Edmunds
    Pro Grade 6.15 5.59
    Height 6'1" 6'1"
    Weight 230 217
    Arm 32 3/8 32 3/4
    Hand 10 10 1/2
    40 4.38 4.47
    Vertical 42 41.5
    Broad J 10'10" 11' 2"

I was hoping they would take an RB by now to not give Bell the upper hand.

Maybe the offense should have scored 46, then we wouldn't be having this conversation

You're right but it doesn't help if the organization doesn't have a backup plan.

I pay for little attention to people moaning about the draft. Every year people whine. Bottom line is for me lets at least see how it goes this year before we declare this years draft a turd

No we have no idea but I'll bet the team does. Stay tuned. Or should we draft two more guys and never find out if they can play? Chick and dirty red ain't as bad as you all think. You all sure liked him when he blocked a punt and we scored on it. That's what I thought. If if if. If a frog had wings he wouldn't bump his azz. We now have safeties that will be playing as LBers. Don't you guys read my posts during the year? Sheesh. That's exactly what I have been saying. Guys that can tackle and play the pass and have some speed to move around and keep an offense guessing. Pressure could come from anywhere. As I said stay tuned.

Breath ender buddy, it will be OK. Think of it like this, the U when they were winning national championships, they had speed without huge size all over the defense.

I was not enamored when he block the punt. But that's special teams. He's very good at it. As a back-up ILB? Not so much.

All I can say "trust the process".

Maybe they would have in they had went for the 4th and 1 with a QB sneak. We fixed the play calling problem, the defense still hasnt been addressed.

The drafts are always a bit depressing.. You see the Browns and Ravens, Bengals picking 12 players.. and were usually fumbling around with 6 or 7

Another depressing part of the draft is NE drafting Danny Etling QB LSU. in the 7th. Next year some team will give them a 2nd rounder for him because he made a couple completions ... because he is a NE Pat...lol

NE can't keep mortgaging their future. If he's any good I don't see them letting him go.

He's decent I guess but a genius he is not. I've always felt Colbert was just a mouthpiece for what the HC wants. Let's not forget he was a member of the abysmal Detroit Lions.

    I see.

For me, drafting four Hall of Fame players with possibly two more, having a record second only to Bill Belichick and winning two Lombardi's counts as being a great General Manager.

Does he make mistakes from time to time? Sure. Has he had his draft failures? Absolutely.

Do his triumphs far outweigh his failures? Most definitely.
