Official 2018 Draft Day Thread (NO SPOILERS!)

Once again they gave up 45 points in the playoffs, but have drafted 3 players on offense

 

Steelers seem to feel comfortable having a great offense and no defense.

 

Drafting defense doesn’t guarantee anything either...

 

I'm never against improving the OL. If he can actually do that. Hope they can mold him. Oh boy.

 

No problem man your all gooder..lol! We are all Steeler fans and want this team to win, I agree with a lot of you we do need defensive picks but we can only have so many. Also look at the players still left, heck many said Harrison was our pick in the first and he is still out there. The problem I see in ILB is thin now as far as prospects and we don't have a pick for awhile now.

 

That`s it for tonight boys and girls. Dang. I was expecting defense, defense, for our picks tonight, maybe one offense. Waiting on the explanation by the coaching staff when the draft is over, but expecting few answers and the "we picked the best player" mantra.

 

We should have drafted at least 2 linebackers by now.

Disappointing.

My only guess is they are already conceding this season. If they were serious about making one last run we need to improve the defense.

 

thought Crosby was much further along than Okorafor and with Hubbard gone, do we have time for him to develop??

We need defense so what’s our solution use 3 of the first 4 picks on offense. That makes a ton of sense. Looks like we are going with the we will try and outscore everyone until we run into a team with a good defense and a run game and we are screwed. I can’t remember a draft I hate as much as this one.

 

At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if we call deebo back on sunday

 

We have no 4th rd pick, all the good ILBs will most likely be gone by the time we pick in the 5th .

 

I'm out fellas. I'll probably be a more positive poster tomorrow morning. Not now though. I may kick my dog before I go to bed.

 

Well don't you have to at least try to address some of the weaknesses on D.....drafting anyone isn't guaranteed....why bother then just go UDFA all the way...

 

Maybe guys they drafted last year will play a role this year.

I'm done with this team, the way they're drafting it will be another early playoff exit next season.

 

They're doing the only logical thing.....loading up til Brady retires....they aren't noticing the gap growing between us and Jacksonville....

 

They didn't draft a ILB last year, which is what they really need.

Maybe there wasn't a linebacker who was a good value there, but there damn sure were some decent options on the defensive line. Sure, they need depth at tackle, but that guy is a project. This really has been a lousy couple of days for the Steelers.
