The forgotten man. Im excited to see what he does this year. I thought he showed well in his short time at the end of the season. He also has man to man coverage skills which is a huge plus.

One of the things he could improve upon coming out of college was needing more muscle on his frame, he had a lot of time to work on that last season.

I think our secondary is going to be a strength this year. Burnett and Haden together, Sutton added to the mix, Burns and Davis going into year three + draft picks? Can't wait.

Well of course Sutton was going to improve. If anything, he may be the biggest improvement within the 2017 draft class. Not that T.J. Watt and JuJu cannot improve either but there is so much that Cameron could not showcase that he will be able in year two but better overall.

Well...., that and having a nice defensive backs coach.

Burns better get his act together or Sutton might be coming for his position.

I'm also excited to see Sutton this year. Do you think there's any truth to the rumors of him playing some
    free safety?

Not with the addition of Burnett. The thought was moving him to safety could free up going for a CB in the draft if better value was there over a safety. I dont see it as an option anymore.

Or maybe they use him as a hybrid and bounce him between both positions with 3 safety looks.

That's what I was thinking, that he would take on the role William Gay played in the dime last season. As it is, he could also challenge Burns for a starting job.

He's a better man to man coverage guy than burns.

They have met and had visits with some top corners. I don't think anything is out of the question this year.I like sutton. I also like our big corner or safety Allen. You can't teach that size. I think we are looking good back there and a couple of additions will really make us better than we have been in years.

I doubt it. Unless he decides he wants to go for a starter job somewhere, and turns into another McCain/Blake.

Maybe I am wrong about this. I thought they had met with Alexander and Jackson and Oliver. This time of year is tough to decipher sometimes the truth and the myth. I still am not sure if we have met with Malik Jefferson or not. I have seen reports of both. So sorry if I misspoke about these CBs. Anyone hear anything about this?

Oh man... IDK if I could say our secondary is going to be a strength this year at all?

Sutton is promising, but he has barely played, Burns is erratic, and Haden is just okay (thought he’d be better).

That is just the CB’s. It is going to take our new Safety half a season just to get on the same page with everyone.

Better hope the front 7 is vastly improved IMHO.

Met with none of the corners but have met with Jefferson.

Coincidentally enough, should LVE be gone by the time we are on the clock, Jessie Bates becomes the clear cut first pick; Jefferson being the second.

You left out Burnett, that was a huge addition and Haden is better than ok. Team struggled very much when he was out.

Im counting on Burns benefitting from better safety play and going into his 3rd year. He's the biggest question mark IMO. He had a tough year.

Theres also Hilton who was a nice surprise last year.

We did send scouts and position coaches to many pro days and they did look at various prospects. Even Colbert went on his own somewhere. Olsavsky went to Boise. Just saying maybe not reported as meeting but we looked at various prospects. Check out NYs pro day tracker section and who went where in the bill Nunn draft section of TSF. We did look at some of these guys I'm sure. You don't make those trips for no reason.

I thought Bates is being mocked somewhere around the 3rd round?

Depends on where. I have seen him as low as the 3rd too. Just depends on how much a team likes him or any other player.

Yeah I thought the " ok" comment when describing Haden was a tad off lol

Haden is much better then just OK. He stopped a few touchdowns last year and broke up a ton of passes.
