what do people think of Davenport. Honestly I didn’t know much about him, but do you think the Steelers are looking at him? He’s 6’6 264 ran a 4.58 40yrd dash, 124” Broad jump. Great length with 33 5/8” arms.

He looks violent when getting to the QB, sets the edge well, great at stopping the run and converts speed to power well. Knock on him is he’s from a small school, plAyed against lesser competition, and wasn’t asked to cover much.

From what I gather he did well at the senior bowl

He did do well at the Senior bowl and the one thing I kept hearing the announcers(Mayock maybe) say was he didn't play 100% all the time. He has the talent and I like him but I am thinking he won't be at 28.

I always get scared of those workout guys. he has athletic ability sure. I haven't seen much but at 28, I think I would want a more proven guy. that's just me though. he might turn out to be the Lawrence taylor.

I doubt he makes it #28.

IMO he is very raw. He would be a raw 4-3 DE. I'm not sure that I would trust that he could ever be a 3-4 OLB.

Not really a fit for the Steelers.

Not a lot of production from a small school guy.

If Marcus Davenport is selected by us at #28, I will have rage that lies beyond even the most violent forms of rage itself.

He is essentially a lesser twitched Danielle Hunter. Oh no thank you. Keep him in a 4-3 and only 4-3 and let him mature and develop from there.

What about Hubbard? I don’t get the love for him. I’ve seen some mocks with us drafting him.

He looks more like a 4-3 DE to me.

Be the same people that were mocking Jordan Hicks to us last year.

Lol. if he turns out even a little bit like Demarcus Ware, I’d be happy.

You're right, NB. Hubbard seems like a 4-3 DE to me too.
