Now that the handcuffs are off(haley) do you think our offense will finally live up to the hype? Granted everyone is healthy... Ben, AB, JUJU, Bell, Bryant, Mcdonald etc. Will we finally hit 30 ppg?

Steelers have never averaged 30ppg under ben lol

What makes you think the handcuffs are on or were on? The limits to what the offense is, what it wants to be and what it could be has always been Ben. Changing the OC is never going to change the fact that Ben will gamble a drive on a 30 yard pass when they need 3 yards it just isn't him but as long as he is in the game is never over.

Taking the handcuffs off won’t make Ben elite and consistent. And in the unlikely event the defense gets better, our offensive scoring should go down.

We ranked number 5 in scoring offense in 2017 with a 26.4 average per game, i'll be happy with another top 5 offense this year since that is good enough to win most games on their schedule with hopefully a better defense we should compete well against any team we play....

I'm pretty sure Ben has averaged more points per game than any QB in Steeler history. I'm also certain the Steelers have never averaged 30 points per game.

Ok, I`ll stick my neck out and predict, with the qualifier that we have no key injuries on offense, I think this is a "go for it" year and we get the 30 points per game and we get to at least the AFC Championship game.

They've gone stretches where they have averaged that. Pretty hard to maintain that over the course of a season though.

Averaged 26 last year, I could see it going up a couple points, average 28 per game.

I think we will see more no huddle which will push the point total up. As long as Ben plays like he did after game 5 last season, its doable.

I’m excited to see the red zone offense.

Seems every team we play does some play action and hits a te in the back of the endzone or a hb/fb in the flat, making it look so easy.

Meanwhile we run it twice and try to pass it in on third only to kick a fg.

If we can convert some of these fgs into tds we could average 30ppg.

Last year I finally thought Haley got it after whatching the first couple of games and seeing the creativity with James and ju ju, then I realized those were he only two plays he developed in a year.

    No.

If Ben has more say now with Fichner, then- hell no.

Sandlot ball will have its big stat moments, like after you're down 21-0 vs Jax. But it goes dormant for long stretches, stalls in the red zone, and gets your QB hurt as he holds onto the ball too long as he tries to turn a broken play into a big play.

They'll be a top offense, top 3 to top 8, but will finish higher in yds than in points.

People really think 36 year old Ben is going to play sandlot football now? Run all over the field holding onto the ball? Thats funny.

I think him and Ficht will put together a good game plan. I anticipate a lot of no huddle.

Why? I keep seeing this not saying they won't be why is everyone assuming that Ben will push no huddle more?

Hes always wanted to, even with BA. Maybe Ficht doesnt give him free reign with it either but I doubt it.

As far as Im concerned, they should be running it extensively.

I think the thing to remember is that this is Fichtner''s shot and could spring board him into more should he want it. So this isn't some he we are giving it to you because you get along with Ben and when he retires we will get some one new. So I think he will do things Ben like's but I think he will have his own stamp he wants to put on things.

Haley's offense wasn't that bad. It was the brain farts that killed it.

I’m not sure statistically we will be the best but will be close as I could see us scoring 28 a game.McDonald and JuJu will be in their second year with Ben and company and will contribute even more then last year.Bell got off to sluggish start last year but still is the best all around back in the league. What kind of game shape he will be in on opening game day is a wildcard even though right now it looks the same as last year.Ben will have more freedom with Ficht as OC which is a good thing as he’s mentally more mature at 36 and think him and Ficht will work real good together! No weaknesses on this side of the ball and the sky is the limit without major injuries!

I would love an at will scoring kinda offense. Just keep scoring not only when you need to but just because you can.

Cut out the stupid mistakes, and maybe.
False starts and dumb interceptions = drive killers.

In the last half of football Ben played, in the Jax game, I'd say he was playing sandlot. Hell, he even ran downfield faking option laterals. It's in his nature, you can take the boy out of the sandlot, but you can't take the sad lot out of the boy.
