That 40 time is likely a guestimate so don't completely trust it. I don't like Scott Wright's rankings but I like how much information he has on players size and stats.

Noticed him at the combine, hed definitely help in run support. Wasnt impressed with his coverage skills at all though. I could only find one game on draft breakdown though, not a lot to go on.

I did hear we met with him at the proday. I think more for safety than corner. At least that's where I see more of his worth coming for us. We have backup corners. He tackles pretty well and could play a big role on STs. New gunner?

Another guy that is intriguing as a diamond in the rough is parry nickerson, a corner from Tulane. 16 picks in college. Probably a late Rd. kid.

Didn't Nickerson run a 4.3 at the combine?

Two other players who could be diamonds in the rough:

    S Troy Apke, 6' 2", 198 lbs, 4.34, 55 tckls, 3 TFL, 5 PBU, 1 int, 1 yr starter, only played in 11 games in 2017, Penn St.

    S Tre Flowers, 6' 3", 202 lbs, 4.45, 80 tckls, 2 int, 8 PBU, 1 FF, 18 reps, 3 yr starter, Oklahoma St.

Some have these two guys ranked to go in the 7th round. They both have great size and exceptional speed and they have very good production. They should both be rated much higher, I think in the 3rd round.

Tre Flowers is a diamond in the rough for me. Much of those issues pertaining to his frame can be easily solved through NFL Weight Room Training. Flowers has the size you want with 33.875 inch arms and a nearly 80 inch wingspan to boot.

As for the inconsistencies regarding man coverage and tackling? Enter Tom Bradley. He just what this secondary needs.

It will take some time but I believe that Flowers is one of those diamonds.

Another guy who might be a gem is RB/WR Nyheim Hines from North Carolina State. I usually don't like the undersized speedsters but Hines is 200 lbs.

RB Nyheim Hines, 5' 8", 200 lbs, 4.39, 5.6 avg, 12 TD, 26 rec, had 43 rec yr before, KR, PR, plays RB and slot WR, more athlete than football player, North Carolina State

How about Kenny young from UCLA? Bradley should know something about this kid. I keep going back to that name for some reason. He had over 100 tackles on the season. He ran a 4.56 at his proday. I haven't heard his name associated with us but Bradley being here makes me think they know about this kid. He may be there in the 5 the for us. Thoughts?

I have ILB Kenny Young as a late 3rd round guy. Like most good ILB's he is a tackling machine but I don't know much more about him.

All of these ILB's in the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd rounds are the same guy. There is no real difference. Kenny Young can play in the NFL just as well as Rashaan Evans or Leighton Vander Esch and you can get Young in the 3rd or 4th or maybe even 5th round.

Maybe take him in the 7th round instead of a long snapper.

I have talked about Young in a different thread I have read this kid can fly and is a coverage stud. The knock on him was he can't shed blockers and is pretty weak. He is nothing I would look at before the 5th for sure, jmo.

I really liked the corner from Wisconsin as a sneaky later round conversion to free safety for us, but he got hurt working out for the Lions the other day.

OMG no no no to Hamilton I watched him during the Shrine game and the Senior bowl and he dropped just about everything, this is Limas Sweed all over. However on the other side of things yes yes yes to Cabinda. During the same time as Hamilton I watched the kid make plays, some say he is to slow but I liked what I saw in him.

Jordan Whitehead can play if he screws his head on. Whoever drafts him will get a hell of a football player.

Bigger than shazier when he got here. 3 lbs. Less than Evans. A lot faster too. Not to mention way more picks. Heck one is way more.:roflmao::cool:
