I think Conner could do well with a vet FA added as well . I just think if the team allows Bell to skip the team building process it will hurt this team mentally again . If Bell doesn't intend to do the process I think KC should pull the offer .

True, but he is Tomlin's boy. Tomlin wanted Bell and got him. But now that the outrageous demands have come out it was a mistake to tag him.

So if he signs the tag, holds out possibly into the season, and they are eliminated again in the playoffs what was the point? By tagging him, renting him for one more season it's Super Bowl or Bust. If not, its a fail!

Possibly a trade can be done. They pick up a stud RB in the first 3 rounds. This is what I would like to see. Oh then what would they do with the 14.55 savings? Sign the draft picks. Extend Ben. There, that was simple. They are only 3.6 under the cap. Sure not enough to pay for the draft class, undrafted FA or a new contract for Boswell.

Bell= Super Bowl or Bust. I feel it will be a bust if they waste anymore time on this delusional rap giant...

Obviously we don't have a chance at Barkley in the draft, but there are a handful of backs with Bell's skill set that we can pull the trigger on.... actually 2 reside on the same team in ga.

A message needs to be sent and soon

Even if we draft a RB in the first round, my guess is that Bell still plays this year for the Steelers, and at the tag value.

Him holding out through camp this year will change things with a new OC. Yes a lot may stay the same but fichtner will add his own wrinkles and that timing will be off to start the season much more than what it was with Haley's. Make no mistake about that.

Sure will.. I am trying to understand from a business perspective what could be gained from Bell holding out and not showing up for training camp. If this is his last year in the Burgh which I personally believe it is he should be putting a good performance on for intersted organizations..?

Bell did this last year, he knows what he's doing. Even a rusty Bell is capable of a pretty good year like his 17 season. It was pretty much a down year for him that many other RB's could only dream of having. Player's get hurt in camp and pre season all the time. He's not taking any chances.

It is what it is. All points will just deal with it and move.

I tend not to worry about things I can’t control.

Of course to us that's a lot of money but to someone trying to live a lavish lifestyle it's not... after taxes he's really only taking home a little over half of that.

What about guys playing for the Vet minimum?
You can spin it anyway you want, but he's being very unreasonable with his demands.

Be more specific about the guys you are talking about playing for the vet minimum. Are you talking about guys on the bench or guys who actually play?

And I'm sorry man just from where I come from I wont fault any brother for trying to get his money. I'm just not against it. I feel as though fans are so blinded by the love of their team they think guys at the end of the day dont have to worry about other things and think they should jump in front of a bullet for the steelers or whatever team they like. I see all type of fans saying the worse things in the world when a guy leaves a team or wont take pay cuts etc..

He's getting his money and wants someone else's. There's nothing wrong with asking for more dough, but when you're asking for more than double the going rate you're being unreasonable.
I hope they pull that tag and he gets hit by a bus.

You'd have a point if a guy like Gurley or Zeke was the highest paid but look who is. Devontae Freeman? I would say leveon is 2x the player he is. But do I think in today's nfl that a running back is worth that much? No not when you have a salary cap and not with the way the game has went. But a player is worth whatever someone is willing to pay him.

I think you are exaggerating a little with this comment. You are saying there are a handful of pro bowl running backs just sitting there for the taking? Hmmm...
