Means something if we draft one too. DHB may be on the way out. May mean nothing. Hunter wasn't terrible. He can catch.

They had an opening after letting Rogers go to FA.

I thought last season he might have been under the Lance Moore curse. You know a really productive receiver who just doesn't click with Ben which translates to no targets. Maybe this year he gets more looks

Nice to keep a vet like him in case. Not a lot of money tied up in him and he has some size and speed. Maybe we draft one, maybe we give Tucker his shot, maybe martavous gets whiney again, in any case I think he could be a guy to make some spot appearances if needed.

This is nothing more than a typical Steeler move. We now have 5 WRs on the roster. We have Tucker from the PS. We have Rogers who we want to resign if he is healthy. We no longer HAVE to draft a WR.

Exactly. This Happens every year. Fill in all of the blanks so you are not forced to reach in the draft. Then draft the BPA at a position you want to upgrade.

Well sure it is but we still get a little quality with this signing. We have a ton of bigger WRs now in camp. MB is pretty much a 1 year rental. We will be looking to replace that position and this will be the year to look hard and see what we have in the pipeline. DHB is also not in those future plans so we could be looking at two to three spots that will need filled by next season. Earlier if someone goes down. He is a good pickup should that situation arise.

I heard a rumor DHB is being converted to safety? I’m not sure who started that? ;)

They will still draft a WR, Bryant is in his last year with the team.

Always liked him. Roster is in good shape for the draft.

More of a theory than something actually adhered to. Were Burns and Davis the BPA when they were drafted? I highly doubt it.

I doubt they re-sign Rogers. He wont be ready for the regular season, they'll have their rotation filled out already.

I only see him back if someone is injured.

Tucker looked pretty good last year in preseason. Maybe he breaks in this year. Of course he will have to beat out Miller or Washington after we draft one of them.:smiley1::cool:

Anything is a maybe. But with Ju Ju and AB set, how high do you draft a potential #3 this year when there are greater needs? We have #3 options now.

I would rather draft all defense in the first 3 rounds, you could probably find a WR in the fifth round.

JuJu was definitely the highest graded player on their board. So they absolutely do draft BPA at times. Bell was another example.

First rd its more likely that they draft BPA at position of need.

Ok, I can live with that. But is a 5th, on average going to be better than the flick we have? There fire, aren’t rounds 5-7 better used on small school guys with potential on defense?

I like our WR corp. When Bryant leaves for greener pastures next year

we will have our 5th round wr pick from this year to replace him.

They will have to in this case.

Barring some circumstance, seeing Leighton Vander Esch would surprise me.
