OK just to get this up to date on the basic rules of this. ANYONE can vote no matter if your in on the mock or not. ONE vote per person. We generally open voting within 2-3 or so picks before the Steelers. If the person you vote for gets taken before the Steelers pick...you CAN change your pick to someone available. The player with the most votes wins. Also as with previous years...no trades will be allowed involving the Steelers.

    Thats pretty much it...its simple!

I'll go ahead and vote for Rashaan Evans now. He might make it there.

    Evans
    Van der Esch
    Reid
    Arden Key
    Ronnie Harrison
    Lamar Jackson
    Sony Michelle

Feel free to add names, if you like.

For me, Van Der Esch. Would have loved for Evans to have posted a 40 time at some point. Six weeks ago he was my man.

The Saints are on the clock and the Steelers are next.

My vote is Vander Esch. His ceiling is to high to pass up.

Call me drunk but I think if he is there we have to take him. Mason Rudolph the red nosed QB. Ha. I crack myself up. Dad jokes my daughters will never get.

Ok so my list of guys are in no order:

Rudolph QB.......We all think Ben has 2-3 years left what if he don't very good talent here.
Washington WR..........Love this kid Speed speed speed, could step in for MB in 2019 if not before
LVE ILB..............Not a fan he is a tackling machine but when I watch the tape he doesn't show push vs oline and ball carriers. He will be our choice here and the real thing so I hope I am wrong.
McGlinchey OT.....Very good talent can't believe he has fallen this far
Price C........Could be a steal here he is hurt but will be ready and we don't need him right away and may be able to fill in at G
Evans.......ILB I feel he has a ton of speed a nice fit for this team
    Gesicki/Goedert TE..........upgrading the TE spot can't hurt
Reid S......... Love this kid good size and speed lots of experience good ball skills and and dependable tackler. My favorite of the group.

I feel ILB and S are deep positions so do we want to pick one here. Also do we want to go QB with a chance he can sit 2-3-4 years? I love Washington but how big of a need do we really have at WR and there are nice ones later on as well. What is interesting is the oline that is here and we all need to take a look at these guys I think Price could help us a ton, we all know how nice it is to have a good C.

My guy right now is Reid but I would like to see what everyone else has to say as we are voting as a group and so many here have great opinions. Thoughts?

    Leighton Vander Esch for me.

He is everything you'd want in a linebacker and more. Big, tall, and athletic; all key components in today's game.

    What more do you need?

I know it's just 1 game, but have you seen the Virginia tape?

LVE has always been a 2nd round pick for me. Now, picking at #28 makes him an option because he won't last until #60.

But I will probably have many players higher than him in terms of BPA.

I have seen the Virgina tape. Was not very good.

Even so, far more good outweighs the bad for me. Way too much upside with him.

I want to like him more but for a BIG LB I don't find he is all that physical. It's a bit concerning.

Evans vs LVE, I'm taking Bama. I know he didn't run a 40 but I know he is fast on tape. Offers more in pass rush. I think LVE has a better grasp of the position though, a little smarter.

I just haven't seen really bad tape of Evans like I have with LVE. Virginia Oline was pushing him around all game. Looked helpless in that game. But like I said, just 1 bad game.

    Jarvis Jones upside
    Dupree upside
    Burns upside

Upside causes one to get less value In their draft pick

I do agree with this. But we took Shazier over Mosley as well because of upside.

I think we should follow what we did with Watt last year, go get a good solid football player.

I voted LVE, and I love his upside. But I would admit with not being unhappy with Evans. Wish we had a 40 time for him, though.

They both had great college careers from top universities ....
They've both lived up to their expectations......

I totally agree..... Steelers should go BPA whether it's a QB or WR Or Lineman or Lber ....

Me , I've done less studying this year than any other season ....

I stole my choice from Kiper!!! LOL

I agree but I think he is physical but is not overpowering. When I watch LVE I don't see a guy who pushes back the blocker and I don't see the power hit on the runner. He is a tackling machine but I am not seeing the big powerful hits you want from your LB.
