What did we get in return for the trade , i forgot?

 

Interesting article. I believe the Steelers have missed opportunities over the last 5 years to sign quality players, especially in the defensive backfield, who could have put them over the top and back into the Super Bowl. The Steelers seem to look at their way of doing business as a source of pride and I appreciate their desire to run a fiscally sound organization, but it sounds like they need to get with the times if we're going to compete for free agents who have proven themselves at the NFL level and can improve the quality of this football team. Our defense has a lot of holes in it right now because we've lost out on some quality free agent defensive players over the last several seasons who could have made a difference. I'm a little beleaguered by this "we do what we do" mentality that permeates every level of the organization, from ownership to coaching. It's fine to "do what we do" as long as it's working, but if it's not, how about trying something different? I'm sick of signing free agents off the scrap heap! Thoughts about this article?

Steelers can't get proven free agents, even if they wanted to, because they franchised Bell.

 

Like I said before if we improve S which we are we don't need the great cove LB as much.

 

Yeah if they get the honey badger the idc who they get a lb. But not Tre Boston.

 

I have a feeling we are gonna end up with Boston or Vaccaro at S and a guy like Timmons or Johnson to tutor the rookie 1st rounder. I am shocked they let both Browns(Zach and Preston) go as S in the draft is stronger than ILB. My opinion would have been spend a few more bucks at ILB and hope to get a cheaper S in FA and draft one as well. jmo.

 

I have a feeling they will not sign a single free agent who played on another team a year ago. They always sign next to nothing, this year will actually be nothing.

 

True but maybe playing next to his brother would be an exception. Who knows?

 

Just for the record the Jagoffs have spent the most money so far at 191m, followed by the 49ers @ 179m, Eagles @ 173.6 m and................the Steelers @ 173m. Yep that's right the Steelers who do nothing have spent the 4th most money so far, and yeah have 20 out of 22 starters locked up! Man that's a lot of nothing.........

 

I love PEDS. Especially all the super hero ones. Fold their head back get a candy. I'm not sure why the NFL hates them.

They should trade for Kendricks and draft a S in Rd.1. There is money for that. Otherwise, I'm not sure what we cleared the cap space for. Should have let Bell go. Can't pay that much to a RB when your Defense has problems.

 

We cut 3 DBs. KC said we have to get better. He therefore plans to fill those blanks with something better. I have my doubts he plans to fill all 3 spots with rookies, that’s not his MO. I’ll wait until all of the pieces are in order before I complain the puzzle isn’t better than last year. And it will be August before the puzzle is complete.

 

The Ravens are shady they signed WR Ryan Grant when free agency started, then after Michael Crabtree got released they found some lame excuse to fail Grant on his physical. The Ravens used that money they saved on the Grant signing to sign Crabtree today.

 

The NFLPA should look into it for sure, they gave Grant a 29 million deal then reneged on it to sign a better player a few days later.

 

We signed boz, chickillo, bostic, nix, Fitz, Malik golden, Finney, Bell, hilton, feiler. Yes we have been signing players. Last year we got alualu, haden, sensabaugh, McDonald, Ridley, LJ, Spence, Hilton, canaday. Sure some of these are our own but we still had to sign them. Some of you guys act like we do nothing. We also have guys we drafted last year to add to this team as players that will get on the field this year. Adams, Allen, Sutton. Things have been happening.

 

Heard a rumour that the Steelers won't sign anybody good. If they do sign somebody he'll be past his prime or sucks.
