The difference between what the Packers are doing and what we are not doing is pretty simple imo. We have 20 starters coming back why do we need to sign guys left and right? Also the Steeler way has always been not to be players in FA in the beginning but to sign quality players....key players and it has worked for many years. Yeah we have 2 big needs but like I said before there are players still out there and we will sign some.

Are either of those guys still on the team? As far as the big 3 goes, we have far more than those 3 eating up our cap space on offense. Who do we cut? Pouncey? DeCastro? AV? McDonald? Gilbert? On defense Shazier is eating up near 9 mil.. Haden near 11 mil.. Heyward and tuitt another 21 mil. Who do you want to cut to go get these super players we need? We sure liked toussaint in the playoffs a few years ago until the fumble. Now he's garbage huh? The team needs more than one RB. Who we going to cut for all this cash? Tell us. Golden, gay and Mitchell are gone, so where have we gone wrong so far?

Really doesn't matter how they won. Lets face it, they owned the Steelers the last few times they have played against Ben.

Because majority of our starters on defense wouldn't even start on most of the players on defense have proved they are not the answer.

Let’s not forget with every waking hour and honey butterbiscuit just being signed, a closer reality of this legend coming back and getting us over that hump is approaching.
Steelers know what they are doing lol

I personally believe that squeaky toy is functioning quite well after all these years.

One has to wonder though; just what material is that toy made with? :lolol:

Reading the comments section throughout this offseason, much of the same criticisms surface as to why we did not win the Super Bowl. :smiley1:

It matters in the context of the post I was answering. Losing to them had nothing to do with Bortles but I agree with you that Jax has had our number.

Several Afc teams have strengthened their roster, Jaxville being one of them.
Steelers will have to improve on defense. I think the steelers have made up their mind on Bell
and it ain't good for the team.

I do think they are going in the right direction with the releases they have made so far. We have a couple of quality players on defense that will be heading into year 2 and 3. Hilton, Allen, sutton, matakevich and watt. There should be a big jump in performance in this group. They are already playing pretty well but it's known that year two and three are the biggest jumps for players. We also added two really upgraded coaches on the defensive side of the ball. We can't dwell on what was last year because things have changed already for the better. We are a better offense with Bell no doubt also. Sure it's a lot of money so this is his last chance to deliver. We will also be adding some talent in this draft. There is a lot of it to be had. Let's let last year be last year and let this year's version see what they are capable of doing before we write them off as losers. I for one see improvement coming. Let's not forget our new OC should be able to maybe improve on what we had on offense so let's not take weapons away from him just yet. That includes McDonald and Bell. Let's face it, the jags have had our number for years not just last year. They beat us with far less talent in years past. We have also seen teams load up on talent in free agency before only to tank in those years.

Well in the here and now we just went 13-3 and a 2nd seed losing to the Jagoffs by 3 in the playoffs and putting up 42 on that so called great D. To think the Jagoffs are "our Daddy" is an effing joke. In this here and now our O is better than their D and their O is better than our D. Their O didn't get any better while out D got better just with the release of Mitchell and putting Spence back on the couch!!!!!! Time will tell who is who's daddy but what makes me laugh is a Steeler fan posting this on a Steeler message board.

First of all how did the Jagoffs become better, they lost Robinson who was a big weapon but missed the season and replaced him with Moncreif IMO a push at best but when Robinson is healthy Moncreif is not better:

Moncrief has shown a lot of flashes of his game-breaking ability but he hasn’t played with enough consistency. He even lost his starting job for several weeks last season to Kamar Aiken, who caught 75 passes for Baltimore in 2015 but has just 44 catches in the past two seasons (31 games) combined.

Norwell is and upgrade over Omameh I will admit that. They also signed Jenkins and Paul and my thinking is when you sign 2 guys for one position you really don't have one player. Now Jenkins could be good since the Jets QB position was so bad.....oh wait he is going to a team with Bortles! So really if you want to think these moves greatly improved this team head right over to the Jagoffs message board and slobber over there.

Now onto the great D where is the improvement, Posluszny retired and that is a big loss. I think us Steeler fans know a little about how bad a D can be when you lose a pretty good LB. I have not seen a replacement for him so how is the D better? Sorry just because a team signs players don't make them better I do not see how the Jagoffs got a whole lot better I see as of right now they are worse. The are a defensive team and they lost on of the leaders there and didn't replace him.....so far offseason a loss for them. JMO

Now onto Bell not gonna get into all this again but year signing a player who accounted for 30% of the offense is a bad thing. We so should have followed the Jagoffs example letting a star go and not replacing him..........
