Dont know how that is terrific #steelers .. You do realize he probably could have did pull ups the night of his injury.......... I am the biggest shazier fan in world and this guy is unbelievable with the way he has handled this injury. He is all heart and gun to my head I think he plays football someday but he is not walking so he is not playing this year............. What makes shazier so great is he is probably the fastest linebacker ever to play. If his speed drops at all if he does make it back then he will be nowhere close to same player and its a friigin shame cause we did not see the best from him yet.........

I think it's a disservice to him to keep bringing up playing again. Sure, he can, but for anyone else it's putting on completely implausible pressure on him.

Sorry but I strongly disagree with the fact you're not at least somewhat impressed by the pull ups. He is swinging and bouncing around pretty good and the fact that he can hold himself up which is putting stress on his lower back and the stretching of his spinal cord shouldn't be downplayed. It's more than just a upper body movement there are lots of other muscles involved. I for one am kinda impressed. I kinda know my way around the weight room and I admire and respect his progress....no one ever said he was playing this year.

Considering Shazier himself is the one saying he'll play again I think it's ok. Plus i doubt Shazier is coming here to get emotional support.

He will be an UFA after this season. Personally I just hope he walks right again. If he decides to play again that's his choice but really it's up to the medical professionals at this point. We have a whole lot of time to monitor his progress as he won't be suiting up this coming year.

If he could run again there is no reason to be nervous for him. It was a fluke........

If he doesn't change the way he tackles then there is reason to be nervous for him.

Yea he was paralyzed from waist down. Dont you remember him in hospital bed 3 days later hugging his teamates on instagram? I am not saying he isnt incredible this kind of reminds me of teddy brushci when he had a bad stroke and made it back to the field that year... I am hoping he could but do not think he will.. That is all I am saying.....

And he is still available, along with JH. I’m thinking there is a reason for this?

He looked good working out. Doing pull ups puts strain on his back and he looked comfortable. I’m not so sure we won’t see the guy by mid season after game 8.

I’m guessing you missed the part where KC said he will not play this year.

The fact that he's already walking again is pretty promising he returns to a normal life which at this point is all i care about in regards to #50. My mother had a spinal fusion and 2 rods implanted in her back at 60 and it took her 6 months to walk again, but she's mobile. He's young and in PRIME shape, I'm sure he can bounce back from this. I Shalieve in #50!

Things can and do change. He is still on the team and if he is on the pup, he could come off after week 8. I’m not saying he will, I just hope his recovery exceeds KC’s expectations. Remember, KC said he would have Bell signed by March 6th.

Unless they extend him this season he will be an UFA next year. He has earned his 5th year tender, injured or not. Only time can heal. I hope for the best for Ryan.

He is in a wheel chair. He’s probably never playing. He will be put on the season ending injured list.

Please show a link, if you have one, where KC said he would have Bell signed by March 6th. I never saw anything like that and it seems like a very odd thing to say considering how unlikely that outcome was.

Just saw him still in a wheelchair. Probably doing some minimal walking in PT.

KC didnt say that. Bell made some comment about a date that hed be signed by but KC never did.

Most the Steelers brass has said is they'd like to get something done long term.

sucks that his cap hit is almost 9 million. NFL should have a way to make a team not liable for that cap hit if the player is definitely not going to be playing. This makes it ridiculous that there's no relief when you have an injury this serious!

Agreed, and obviously he is injured. But this goes back to the days when teams would stockpile players by saying they were hurt.
