The Cardinals released Him today, maybe we can pick him while Arizona foots part of the bill.

 

All about health and money. He's been very beaten up... but he's a hell of a player when healthy, at a position we need. I have no doubt the Steelers will contact his agent and she what's what.

Former @AZCardinals DB Tyrann Mathieu intends to meet with @steelers Thursday morning. Early talks out of Pittsburgh looking positive. Would be big move for the usually silent Steelers. Other teams reaching out: NYG, SEA, and TB.

I'm not a cap expert but using the OverTheCap website it shows we have $2.8m in cap room and it looks like S Mike Mitchell is still on the books, not sure if we have actually cut him yet, but when he goes that will free up $5m.

If we need to clear more space we could cut DT Alualu and save another $3m and then we cut S JJ Wilcox and save another $3m to free up another $6m.

It also shows CB Gay still on the books so cutting him would free up $1.75m.

I think we can do it.

Have you been following this team very long? If so you would know such a signing is highly implausible.

 

It looks like the Steelers are going to pay Lev Bell. How unfortunate.

 

Yeah, it's probably about as unlikely as getting CB Joe Haden.
