With all these big contracts being signed by mediocre WR's...How long do you think it is before AB starts bitching

AB just renegotiated his contract for cap space. No complaints from me about Browns stature.

    Never.

Antonio has been paid. Enough said.

By the way, what do you mean by "mediocre" receivers? Like Mike Evans?

I think he is referring to Watkins and Robinson and to a certain extent Amendola.

That is just simply Free Agency for you anymore; players who will be either paid or overpaid due to circumstance.

The rates go up every year. In 2-3 seasons these 2018 contracts will seem like a good deal.

I believe last time he signed ( right after he signed ) Other receivers, not near his talent got big raises, and he started whining...And then the Steelers thru in an extra 2 million, correct!

It wasn't right after, but a few years later he started crying.

They didn’t exactly throw in an extra 2 mil. They moved 2 mil of his contract into a bonus, but the overall contract, at that time, did not increase.

We get a cap break on his salary this year due to his 19M signing bonus his cap hit is only 7.995, but next year 2019 his cap hit explodes to 22.165M, so our cap looks worse for 19 than it does this year especially if we add in a big payday for bell, 2019 isn't looking too good for us cap wise........

I don't believe that the Steelers and Bell are close. He wants as reported to much upfront money and is now stating he wants 14.5 a year. So they will rent him for a hopeful Super Bowl Championship. The cap is in tatters, ah huh. Bell will come off the books next season and they will extend Ben at that point.
