We could sign Hyde and Lewis (combined) for less. This is stupid.

I wouldn't go to training camp either on a 1 year deal, if he gets injured then what.

How many players are on a one year deal or in the last year of their contract? Everyone can't always be on multiyear deals.
If he gets injured he gets 14.5 million guaranteed.

Yeah but he's thinking about his longterm deal in 2019.

But he doesn’t have a contract. He doesn’t have to take the risk.

In the same situation, I would not take the chance. There is no upside, only potential downside.

Not true. There's plenty of upside. If he signs the tag he's guaranteed 14.5 million. The Steelers have already said that they won't negotiate until he signs the tag. So how's he getting his big contract?
What if he gets hurt before he signs the tag? He gets zero.
I understand that he doesn't have to do anything because he hasn't signed. But because of some stupid loophole/ technicality he's hurting our chances at winning #7. That bugs me. There's plenty of guys who are in the last year of their contract and others who are on a one year deal and they have to be in camp. I can guarantee you that his teammates don't like it either.

You got one guy that would give anything to play again, and another that won't do any extra.

I figured it was fake, but I was amused by it. A few tweets below this one he officially announced his retirement from the NFL.

He’s demanding that the Steelers sign him to a contract which is about double what the next highest paid RB has ever made and he’s standing next to a guy who’s (probably) smoking a joint knowing that if he gets caught doing that one more time he’s suspended long-term. Wow. Just wow. I hope he hangs himself with the rope the Steelers have given him. I’m sick of his pathetic act!

That's a very good question cause technically he isn't under contract till he signs the tender.....hmmm could this be the whole reason for the hold out??????:hmm:

Bell is dumb, but I don't think he's that dumb to be smoking again. Not sure if he still can be tested, while not under contract.

If he smokes again he will probably be facing a 10 game or full year suspension, and that big contract he wants he won't get it.
