I hate when the season is over, basketball just doesnt do it for me much and there is only so many mock drafts, and scouting of players you can do.
So i thought if i had to fill out a team of 25 players with one player from each of the last 25 Steeler teams how could i create the best team. 1 Player from each year. 1994 - 2017
    The 25 Positions are:
QB 2014 Big Ben, Steeler's all time single season passing leader. 32 TD to 9 Int. Played all 16 games
RB 2016 Leveon, despite missing 4 games finished 3rd in yards from scrimmage with 1884. 9 tds, game where he broke the Steelers single game rushing yard record with 236 yards.
FB 2001 Dan Kreider, Lead Blocker for the NFL's #1 rushing attack by 500 yards.True Steeler Here! He Didnt need the rock just wanted to hit people.
WR 2015 AB, Single Season Steeler record by receiver. 1834 yds, 10 Tds, All Pro, lowest drop rate.
WR 2002 Hines, 2nd team all pro, 1329 yards, 12 tds, career highs, great blocker and leader.
TE 2012 Heath Miller, career year with 816 yards, 8 tds, pro bowl, Team MVP
LT 1999 Gandy, Gandy was solid as the LT, not great but solid.
LG 2007 Faneca, Alans last year with team, 1st Team All Pro, Leader of Line
C 2011 Pouncey, 1st team all pro, missed 2 games this year, but was pretty dominant.
RG 2017 Decastro, Pro Football Focus rated him the 17th best player, 2nd lineman, no sacks allowed.
RT 2003 Oliver Ross, tough one, lost job but fought for it back for final 9 games, weakest position.

DE 2005 Aaron Smith, made pro bowl in 2004 but smith was very underappreciated. Stats dont tell his story, run stuffer extraordinaire.
DT 2009 Big Snack, Pro Bowl, in his physical peak prime, most tackles this year.
DE 2006 Keisel, First year starting, the beard had 5.5 sacks most of his career. Him or Kevin Henry? who you got?
OLB 2008 James Harrison, Defensive POY, 16 sacks, 7 Forced Fumbles, Greatest int in super bowl history
OLB 1995 Lloyd, All Pro, 3 int, 6 Forced Fumbles, 6.5 sacks, Had 10 sacks in 95 but i wanted rod woodson in 95
ILB 2004 Farrior, All Pro, Leader of the Defense, 3 sacks, 4 ints, 3 forced fumbles
ILB 1996 Kirkland, All Pro, Pro Bowl, 4 int, 4 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, big boy could move!
CB 1994 Rod is God, since i couldnt go with 1993 i took 1994, All Pro, Pro bowl, plus kick and punt returner. 4 int 2 touchdowns, 3 forced fumbles, 3 sacks. took the side of field away!
CB 1997 Lake, got a vote for mvp by peter king this year. Constantly moved from corner to safety every other game. Only year he was an All Pro.
FS 2000 Brent Alexander, Best year as a journeyman in NFL, 3 int, 61 tackles, 1.5 sacks
SS 2010 Polamalu, Defensive POY, 7 int, Iconic Plays from hurdling the line as the ball is snapped at Kerry Collins to forced fumble against Flacco with 3 min left in playoff game. Great Year!

P 1998 Josh Miller, decent year, no blocks, 44 yards per punt
    K 2013 Suisham 39/39 xpoints, 30/32 Fgs.

Team is good, just weak at both tackles and free safety.
It hurts me to make a Steeler's history team like this and leave off certain players like, Gildon, Chad Brown, Kevin Greene, Lamar Woodley, and Porter but can only have 4 Lbs.
Also i know alot of people would rather have a year of the bus but bell is a better receiver and Ben likes to throw. The other one is Dermonti Dawson but i needed the defense of the 90's.
Would anyone make any changes to this team? Thoughts?

There’s always 2007 FWP, before the injury. Though Bell ended 2016 with an injury too

Just skimmed it, but I'd take Dermontti Dawson over Pouncey. Pouncey is still just a little to light against these bigger interior guys.

Also, Probably take Searcy at RT over Ross or try Tunch.

LT might go with Big Al. Either him or Starks.

Darren Perry is another one over Alexander.

Nice research effort Steel 4 Blood (I'm assuming you didn't just pull all this out of your memory? The fact that others can disagree is actually a good thing - we've been spoiled (and blessed) with so many great teams and players during this period, not to mention the 25 years prior. :thumbs up:

Haha definately didnt pull it all from memory. I started with the best years of the best players first. Like Polamalu and Harrison, it got tough with the tackles cause yes i could go gilbert or AV but then you lose those great years from the others

True id take dawson over pouncey too but it would take away another player at another position in the 90's i dont wanna lose those defensive guys for dawson when pouncey is pretty good in his own right.
