I’m sure it wasn’t all his decision.

Dallas Goedert not running the 40 either.

I dunno, there's alot of hard working, talented players who would love to go to the Combine to compete.

I think if you accept an invitation to the Combine, it should be mandatory to compete in all drills.

I think if he would of blazed in the 40 the WR talk would of just ramped up....he was trying to put the focus solely on his arm...not the worst decision, they all know he can run.

John Ross’ 40 last year projected him to someone that he was a WR, that didn’t work well. Hell, he was the last one out of the tunnel at game time. He dropped half the balls at the combine.

Depends on how sold they are with Conner. I think Chubb looks like he may be better at pass blocking.

Right now they have an unsigned Ridley. a hurt Conner and Fitz....behind Bell who just played his first season without injury and had over 400 touches.

Fair point. RB in round 1 just seems like the ultimate luxury pick.

Out of curiosity, do you like Chubb more than Guice and Sony Michel?

Only because I saw more of Chubb. I had the same feelings about Hines Ward. had to defend that pick because I saw a lot of Georgia games being stationed in Jacksonville at the time.

Not that the Steelers are in the conversation, but I went back and looked at some Quenton Nelson tape this morning. I was wondering why he decided not to run the 40 on Friday. I believe they said he hurt his groin or hammy. But then he went ahead and did the drills anyways.

Remember back in 2012 when Decastro, pre combine, was being talked about as a potential Top 10 pick? He then ran a 5.4 and all the talk was about he wasn't athletic enough. Being voted all pro and multiple pro bowls later and that talk is just a distant memory.

I think when you look at the tape it is apparent Nelson isn't great athlete. He is a little slow on his pulls and can be a little late on his reach blocks. I think he probably would have ran a 5.3 or 5.4 and who knows maybe he would fallen on draft day.

It doesnt matter to me though. Like DeCastro, Nelson is a future All Pro. A really great tape I watched was the 2016 Notre Dame vs Michigan St game. Alot of Nelson vs Malik McDowell.

I don't know where Nelson ends up, Cleveland, Denver, Tampa, but wherever it is, some team is going to get a hell of a player.

Sam Hubbard and Arden Key not running. Wonder if they will participate in the drills.

Odd choice for Arden Key as that should be a strength of his.

He has alot to prove if he wants to be a 1st round pick.

Key's decision is injury related they said, Hubbard just felt more comfortable running it at his pro day.

Don't count out Darius Leonard, I liked what I saw from him and he has been climbing.

He had a great senior bowl but I just don't know what he is. Will have to see how he tests.

Did he really weight in at only 213?

Looks like Rashaan Evans isn't running the 40.

It kinda bugs me because he skipped the Senior Bowl to "focus on the combine."

It's not the biggest deal in the world but definitely disappointing from a fan's perspective.
