Read the title too quickly. I thought it said ... tom brady new db coach. Thought it was a joke. But, who better to coach them the right way, after exploiting them for years ... lol

A move like this keeps Butler on his toes.
A former Penn State DC? Oh yeah!

So the Eagles didn't force Tom Brady to retire and we didn't hire him for our DB coach........:shrug:

On a serious note looks to be a very nice hire and will add a lot of experience to this staff and on the side of the ball we need it on. UCLA has had some nice players in the draft the last few years.....Jack, Kendricks, Morneau, Clark, Barr and McKinley.

I don't like it. I don't like anything. It is new, different, and a much needed change...I don't like it. The only way I would be happy is if we had a perfect season, and then I would be unhappy because we didn't win each game by enough points. I don't like it!

    I could not agree more.

Ronnie Harrison, Justin Reid or DeShon Elliot are all rock solid options.

Really want Harrison in the worst way among safeties. He is quite like Mike Mitchell but a lot more disciplined.

I'll hope for the best but that UCLA defense was atrocious this year.

    I am not.

Both Colbert and Tomlin realize that this is it. The window is steadily shutting and Ben is not getting any younger.

We need to win right now. New England could not look any more vulnerable than they are now. Jacksonville still remains my biggest concern though.

This will be interesting to see what he can do with guys like Sutton, Allen, ducre, Crawford, Phillips, Malik golden. Maybe he can develop these guys for us.

Its good that this guys strength is coaching up tackling but its a league wide problem.

I blame the CBA mostly. The only way to practice is by doing and padded practices are limited now.

Hopefully this guy can improve on it but not sure how much of a difference we will see.

Yep. That CBA really needs to be corrected to enforce the fundementals.

Tackling now is like base running in Baseball; anyone who can perform the "art" is considered a "transcendent talent" who is "beyond imagination".

Within the same vein though, base running can be fixed considering the MLB CBA does not really state anything in relation towards the basic fundementals. Tackling is another issue altogether.

Bradley is just what this secondary needs a coach with a lot of coaching experience, he should be able to get these guys to be more fundamentally sound.

Maybe just maybe we will be watching our future DC coaching the DBs. At least if things don't turn around for the better. We have about a 3year window to fix it.
