Yup both defenses sucked. Eagles just kept up in scoring

The Eagles didn't screw up like Jacksonville did against New England, they stayed aggressive and not sit on a lead.

I was thinking that, or hope Brady drops a throwback pass.

We drafted Shazier to cover Gronk, it was our only answer to him.

The Eagles barely won and could have easily lost. Lucky for them Cooks was knocked the hell out for running in circles or that Edleman wasn't there. Nevermind Hightower....

Maybe Wentz could have won it if the Pats were full power, who knows.

We needed to play a near flawless game to beat them and we almost did. In my mind we won that game and were robbed so bad that The Eagles benefitted from the James call in the superbowl. No way in hell could the NFL call back questionable TD's again in a huge game. They should be tipping the hat to The Steelers!

Idk if there is a lesson to learn from the Eagles. Steelers beat the Pats IMO. If there's a lesson to be learned it's never take your foot off the gas.

The game I saw was the Eagles had control most of the game, but then their defense fell apart (cannot cover Gronk) and NE took the lead in the 4th quarter. Fortunately, NE could not stop Philly offense too and Philly got lead back, but too much time left. Game was up for grabs until the Brady turnover. Pressure on Brady? Really? I remember hearing complaining front 4 not getting the job done like they usually do. It sure felt like another choke was likely until the turnover. Barely won is correct.

I'm sick of it already living around here. So sick of it I hope they go back to mediocrity next year. They finally win a Super Bowl and they are all the sudden the best team ever. When I see them continue, I'll believe it.

The news reported today that the eagles held an entire fake walk thru with false plays and signals. Then the next day they did something different. This was meant to confuse Bill on which covertly recorded videos to review and game plan. I think that is the plan. Think about it, two players from the Patriots SB team last year are on the Eagles team this year (Long & Blunt). Neither of them are going to delegitimize their win last year, but you can dam sure bet they told them about the video process.

Blast Furnace posted it above. I’d find it hard to believe that Long did play a huge part in all of it. He left in an angry way and seems to resent them.

Ummm, I hate to say this, but make SURE the Pats ain't spying on us; Iggles did a fake walk through just in case there were spies, and, gee whiz, Iggles offense had no problem scoring on them all day long.

Good observation. I noticed that too.

I also noticed that both Brady[for at least 58 min] and Foles had little pressure on them and all day to find targets. Anyone think this was the case when Ben played them? :lolol:

Sacks galore and even NE applied heavy pressure. Anyone suspect that maybe the O-line is a bit overrated and not really championship quality? Believe it or not, I'm thinking 1st 3 rds draft LB, S. OL and not in any particular order. Best athlete available period.

Yeah, I know 3 all pros already but apparently that's not enough.

We need to develop more of our scheme on offense then relying on individual performances. I seen schemes the Eagles ran where WRs were wipe open. How come we can't do that? If it wasn't for individual effort we would of been blown out of our own stadium.

I'm not saying trick plays but running schemes that gets our guys open. Not WRs running downfield and having to break off their routes for us to make a play.

The O-line is good we don't need to draft a OL within the first 3 rounds, Ben gets sacked 20 times or less each season with this group.

I still say Clements never had possession on that “TD catch”.

    Id say 2 things..

    Don't suck on defense.
Ask the officials to not throw any flags and call a catch a catch the next time we meet the patriots.

Those 2 things happen and we easily win the Sb.

I think it is a catch because the moment it hit his hands it stuck like glue. It looks like he was bobbling it afterwards, but I think he was just repositioning the ball. If I'm right, he safely had 2 steps down in the endzone.
