Thanks Carnell and good luck in California.

I'm sure it wasn't a forced decision but it should have been.

Maybe Joey Porter would like to go with him and share in Lake's son's last year of high school football too.

I wish you well, Carnell. It wouldn't surprise me if this was a forced resignation.

Hire Eric Mangini as his replacement, former DB coach and DC. I hope Porter is next to leave.

I wonder if DHB will retire so they can hire him as Lake's replacement.

So, who do they replace him with? I thought Deshea Townsend would have been a good pickup, but he's already with the Giants.
I'm okay with former players being coaches, but I don't think really good players fit the mold. If you have someone who's just so insanely athletically talented, they don't necessarily have to rely on the smarts part of the game. I'd take a middle of the road player who hung around for years in the NFL. Those are the kind of guys I think you want as a coach.
I could actually see Gay as a good coach. He's not overly athletically gifted, but he knows how to play the position.

Yeah I feel the same way.

Rooney's the past few years have loved to save face and not fire people out right.

Please no Rod Woodson! Give me an old crotchety coach who has proven to know how to get his players playing at a high level.

Tomlin was a DB coach. Demote him and let Munchak run the team. (BTW, I'm only half kidding).

I wouldn't be surprised since Don Capers and his staff were purged from Green Bay if it isn't Perry

He's under investigation for sexual assault. Doubt they touch that situation.

    Thanks for everything Lake!

One of my favorite Steelers in the 90's. Him and Woodson were great back there.

Lake was a very cerebral player, was one of his greatest strengths. People here think he sucked as a coach.

Okay, who's the Mike Munchak of DB coaches out there? Let's identify THAT guy and go get him! Problem solved. :smiley1:

Time for Tomlin to call some of his old buddies from Tampa Bay. You know that Super Bowl team.
