It was a beautiful thing watching Pederson do his thing (play-calling). There is no way that Haley could ever have called such a game. Pederson knows what it takes to win a big game (being aggresive). Haley knows how to lose a "little" game (against an inferior opponent)! And, Tomlin let it all happen. Took no responsibility. In the end, I was always very "on-edge" watching the Haley-led Steelers. I hope the new OC does not follow in Hayley's footsteps.

Haley was not the problem. Our HOF QB didn't warm up until the Lions game and then the defense crapped the bed from that game until the end.

Steelers made changes to the offensive side of the ball, when changes needed to be made on the defensive side. We'll see more of the same in '18.

Not for nothing but I thought Pederson was a little Tomlinesq last night with his aggressive, those 2pts almost came back to haunt them. Plus whoever was responsible for the trickery on the 8 yard loss that prevented a first down on the following penalty. Couple of other horribly timed screen passes.

I thought the second forth down go was pure guts and confidence !
With 5 minutes to go he said no way in hell am I punting it and hoping my D can make a stop ,that was the game right there IMO ! I bet the only other team that does that same thing in that situation is ,well, the Patriots .

When decisions work out coaches look good. When decisions don't work out coaches look bad. Peterson's a good coach. Tomlin's a good coach. Haley's a good coach. Why do people need to prop one up in an attempt to bring the other down?

Let's see if Peterson will have the consistency staying power that Tomlin has developed with the Steelers.

I hear what you're saying but to me its the coach that shows he has the balls to just do it !Tomlin punts it to Brady and company in that second 4th down situation no doubt about it

That play call with the TD pass to Foles was pure BALLS. However, it was also preparation and execution. I imagine Tomlin had a very confused look on his face after that play.

No way in hell tomlin can gameplan for a qb replacing an mvp like pederson did. Pederson is a far better coach he makes a scheme that CATERS to his players strengths and not a scheme that he just thinks will work.

did we waste the past 6 years with Haley? if Tomlin knew of Ben/Haley relationship, whey didn't he do something about it and not until 6 years later. what a waste.

The thing is Foles showed that he could play at a high level before Pederson became the coach.

Now there's more than one way to game plan and to make adjustments to win football games. Tomlin helped this team win with Ben, win without Ben, and win when Ben didn't play his best game.

Time will tell if Pederson is a far better coach. Let's see if Pederson has the consistency.

I don't know about that. Tomlin went for it on his share of 4th downs over the years.

They all do. Did you see that game yesterday?

The league accomplished exactly what it wanted. Points.

NE employs the bend dont break defense too. Had been exceptional at not breaking but sure broke yesterday. Much like the Steelers did against the Jags.

You and I must be watching different games. Jacksonville's defense was pretty damn good this year. It took 2 Hall of Fame QBs to either put 42 points up on them (Roethlisberger) and beat them in the conference championship game (Brady). If the Steelers had the caliber of defense of the Jaguars... they win the Super Bowl. Period.

Totally agree and was B@#^& when he went for the two point conversion saying "That's exactly what Tomlin would do, compound the issue by making a 1 pt mistake into 2" Could have really bitten them...

Yes, this is what the NFL wants and I was pissed at everyone saying what a great game it was. It was a frkn track meet.

I thought the Eagle D made the Steelers look good. No sacks and wide open receivers. But all it took was one play to win the game...

Pretty sure we all watch a different Steelers team then you Heinz.

Unfortunately for the Jags and your argument, you're going to face QBs like that and they **** the bed when they did. The Jags also let Jimmy G light them up.

You're delusional if you think there is a defense out there that will completely shut down offenses in todays league. Its simply not designed for that anymore. Eagles and Vikes both have good defenses, Eagles lit up the Vikes and NE lit up the Eagles.

Defense in general sucks in todays league. Steelers arent nearly as bad as you make them out to be. Period.
