Bill Belichick has out coached Mike Tomlin. This not even a discussion point. Question: Do you believe Robert Kraft has out managed Art Rooney?

Kraft hands everything to belichick to make all the football decisions. He only steeped in to stop bill from getting rid of Brady for Jimmy G

Not Rooney, but our scouting and Kevin Colbert maybe?

I don't care what anyone says, I would take big bad bill in a heartbeat. I want this team to win and I don't care that he won 5 titles with the cheats. If he won us 5 in 17 years I would peg him as the greatest too.

Impossible to say. With better coaching, would our defence be as bad as it is now? Our guys are constantly out of position. That's coaching. Sean Davis and Burns were both very good prospects coming out, yet both appear to be going the wrong way in their development. It's the same thing we've seen from almost every defensive player we've drafted in the last 7-8 years or so. I'm not convinced we're missing on all these guys, what I am convinced of is that poor coaching is setting them up to fail

Coaches coach, but the players have to execute. If they do not have what it takes to process information, and display it on the field, than maybe we are drafting the wrong guys.

You can easily find guys who fit the height/weight/speed. You have to find the ones who have that plus football instincts and a competitive drive to win.

True to a point, but explain why a team, with mostly the same players, goes from being very week (3-13) to very good (10 or more wins) after a coaching change, like the Jags, from 2016 to 2017. It happens all the time, so coaches do matter. Under the past Gus Bradley regime, the Jags just stunk forever; not matter who the seemed to draft or sign as free agents, they team never improved. In comes a new coach (along with Coughlin acting as the chief of running everything) and those same group of players suddenly blossomed. Sure, they added a few more pieces (Bouye, Campbell) but something more significant took place to make them improve so much.

In a nutshell, what transpired? A-C-C-O-U-N-T-A-B-I-L-I-T-Y. When they signed that LT Alberts, and he showed he wasn't really all that motivated (missed non-mandatory mini-camps, went through drills half @ssed) they told him "thanks but no thanks" and that tone was evident all over. What would the Steelers have done? Kept him and told us he was "having a solid year" only to avoid having to admit it was a bad move to sign him. See the difference?

I believe in the concept of accountability all around, but if this defense returns with the same starters as it ended the season with... I don't care who the coach is, its not going to be good enough. We clearly have a talent issue that coincides with the coaching.

I don't disagree, but the lack of accountability is not just with the players, but with coaches and the front office as well; this team is afraid to admit it made a bad decision, which is why we had to put up with Jarvis Jones for so long, and it's why we are still suffering from Mike Mitchell and Sean Davis being on the field when they suck on such an obvious level. The Steelers are afraid to admit mistakes and it hurts the team. Hoodie wouldn't put up with the poor play they do for 10 minutes.

Kraft and Rooney are both good owners. Rooney dosent mange the game on the field. I don't put the Jax loss on him in any way. The only thing I hope for is that he sits Tomlin down and demands his game management skills to improve. Even as bad as the defense played that game was still winnable if not for a handful of poor decisions by Tomlin. Take away the 2 4th and 1 calls the onside kick and the clock management before the 2 minute warning and I believe the Steelers still would have won.
