Ryan Clark was solid for the Redskins, then became great with the Steelers. Why not rape the Skins of another one of their "solid" players?:clapping:

Yeah Clark was a beast for us but this team on defense doesnt have the same talent we uysed to have so a guy like Clark had it easy. There' no polamalu, prime Harrison, Casey Hampton, farrior, etc... on this team

    Yup.

Almost every single player was better on that defense.

Then you have the elites and phenoms

    Harrison
    Hampton
    Polamalu
    Kiesel
    Smith
    Farrior

Sorry, dude, but you're looking in the wrong place. The Steelers don't shop in the "shiny new arrival" section, they wait until the scrap heap fills up in the bargain basement and then they grab a castoff or two from there.

I do like Breeland but both safety positions need much more attention than CB.

Breeland is good but the skins probably knew he is looking for a big payday, but we need to replace mitchell at free safety so no need to look for a high dollar corner unless they want to give up on burns....

Watching Burns, he can cover, he just doesn’t seem to make the final move. He seems to watch the reception being made rather than breaking it up. Is this a coaching need or just a brain fart problem?

Burns get caught looking into the backfield too much. He lacks discipline with his fundamentals and isn't a strong tackler.

I thought in his rookie year he looked down right awful as far as technique goes. Definitely not worthy of what you would expect in a first round pick.

It is another example of Tomlin valuing athletes over football players.

Completely agree. It's why he's so subject to the double move. He's not a starting caliber corner Tbh and his instincts and techniques aren't sound. Bad pick he wasn' worth a first-round. They only got it right on shazier. Watt is a fringe forstvrounder if give him early 2nd grade but I like him he makes plays.

    Latter. More specifially commitment.

Why a six foot plus corner weighing nearly 200 lbs. elects not utilize his physicality to contest catches is beyond me. :hmm:

A bit of both, but with solid coaching he would excel. He was drafted to be the #1. At this point he is not. Now coming up on his 3rd year. I see him get used over and over then he makes a play and stands there and crosses his arms. Lack of discipline. I understand you have to have a short memory but his negative plays outweigh the positive at this point.

Dude is not that good. I wouldn't add a CB anyway with the other holes on D.

They don't need to spend money on a CB in free agency, safety is a bigger need.

Okay but I would use stronger words on his tackling. He is a horrible tackler and avoids contact.

Haden, Burns, Hilton, Sutton, and Allen. There are the Steelers 5 corners next year. As long as they leave Burns in man and stop trying to force him into zone he is a good corner.
