Makes sense but man what a strained situation....I don't know how you can just say ok your turn again...
Sounds to me like a situation that can't really be remedied if it went and goes down like you said....what a cluster****.
Thinking about it a little more I remember in the NE game we were getting torched early and even Romo was saying we "had" to go man to man and like a switch we changed and things got under control. That could of easily been the turning point. Could also easily explain all the communication problems we were having. Sounds to me like they had too much faith in our guys to be able to adapt to the change. We got away with it (barely) against the dregs the last couple weeks but when we played a real team we looked totally inept and lost......hmmm.

I think it is pretty warm there has been so many problems this year and that is unsteeler like. I think the Rooney's aren't so much mad at the on field failures and they are the off field stuff, throw in a one and done and yeah seat getting warm.

One thing in this whole Tomlin calling the D we are missing that has been a problem is the "hybrid" system Tomlin is trying to run. I think Tomlin being a defensive guy and our D looking bad is really another problem.

I don't know. Lot of speculation and lots of unanswered questions. Hopefully it's resolved next year but yeah, that has to be a uncomfortable situation regardless what reason Tomlin took over.

That's what the Brass did with Butler, asked him to hold on for a couple of years before LeBeau was forced out. Possible doing the same thing with Munchak.

The difference was that Butler and LeBeau both knew what was going on. In this case there is no knowledge of Tomlin leaving. Nobody is saying MT is gone and nobody is saying Munch is the next HC.

If I remember correctly Ben was asked on his radio show if he thought it was Tomlin’s fault. So that’s about the answer you would think he’d give. I like Tomlin but I also think he needs to tighten things up next year. I really think Butler needs to go and we need to adopt a new defensive scheme. No more zone coverage or at least mix it up.

Ben needs to keep some things in house, he threw Haley under the bus often. Guys like Cowherd hear ben with his passive aggressive crap then assume he's trying to get the coach fired.

Yeah and he tried to be cryptic with it but every one sees right through it Ben. It was obvious with Haley but he also threw a couple shots at tomlin.

And what are some[edit-any] good reasons why Ben would be enamored with Tomlin?

As it should be, really quiet around here. I hope Art II is really

listening to a lot of his advisors and demand changes with how the

    team is ran.

I hope Rooney insists that Tomlin makes changes to his defensive coaching staff. Not necessarily calling for the firing of Butler but some of the position coaches need to be let go and let's bring in some new voices and see what we can get out of these youngsters who have potential. What's Joey Porter done with Bud Dupree? What did he do with Jarvis Jones? TJ Watt regressed at the end of the season. He was heavily involved in the James Harrison debacle. He needs to go NOW! IMHO

I never said Ben was, it doesn't mean he's trying to get his coach fired though.

No, it isn’t and it’s laughable to suggest otherwise.
