I'm so tired of hearing that nobody is better than us because we won 6 titles.. Are you kidding me? I'm 42 years old... 4 of the titles were back when I still believed in the Easter Bunny, 2 of those happened before I had even started school and one was before I was born. It's no different if Vanilla Ice walked in and said he was the best because he was number one with Ice Ice Baby... yeah, 20 plus years ago.. We've won 2 in the modern era and only one in the last 10 years...I don't know, I'm just mad... This team had all the talent in the world and they blew it! We shouldn't have to wait for Brady and Bellichick to retire to win more. This just stinks

IDK the super bowl era is only 53 years , many teams never even sniffed one. So I think winning 6 out of 8 is pretty damn good

Ok here comes the cold water......it took us over 40 years and counting to get 6. Those A holes up North have 5 soon to be 6 in less than half that......ouch!

And after them we are the most successful with 3 SB appearances and 2 titles. I guess the Giants are next after us.

NE enjoys having the best coach and QB. Makes a difference. So does cheating (yes, I fully believe they cheated their way past the Rams) and enormous, absolutely enormous amount of luck. Tuck rule started it all. Seattle and Atlanta bone head coaching moves of all time.

They haven't won #6 yet though.

It really is completely arbitrary. If I'm not mistaken and you want to get technical I think the Packers have the most pro football "championships" including pre Super Bowl.

Of the 4 teams remaining. 3 have never won a Super Bowl.

Now I get that the Jags came around in 1995. Which was only 23 years ago.
But the Vikings and Eagles have been around a long long time.

Eagles did win an NFL championship in 1957.
But none have won a super bowl.

Ive never been one to say "hey, my team has 6 lombardi's." I wasnt even born then when the first 4 were won in the 70's. I have 2 Super bowl wins since Ive been alive. Yes, the team does have 6, but I never shove that down someones throat saying so. I have witness 4 super bowls since Ive been a Steelers fan, with a record of 2-2.

It depends where you draw the line.

Draw the line at year 2000: NE has the most titles with 5
Draw it in 1990: NE with 5
Draw it at 1980: NE/SF tied at 5
Draw it at 1966 (Super Bowl era): Pitt with 6
Draw it at 1960: GB with 7
Draw it at 1950: GB with 7
Draw it at 1940: GB with 8, also Cle with 8 if you count their AAFC titles
Draw it at 1930: GB with 12

It will be very hard for Tom Brady to catch the Pack's Dirty Dozen.

Actually it took 34 years to get 6 after the first one (1975-2009) but just 5 calendar years to get 4. And yes it does stink to see them win, but so be it. It took 42 calendar years for each franchise to win its first championship, too.

I am sorry you were born a little too late to miss the glory era in the 1970s. I was not, and I always will be the better for it. That makes disappointments like this year less painful for me.

Never say that to an Eagle fan, they will scream at you and correct you. It was 1960. And I sure the hell hope it was their last.

I'm all Pittsburgh and I'm proud to say I have 14 Championships in my lifetime. 6 Super Bowls, 5 Stanley Cups and 3 World Series. Not bad for a small market city. Love reminding my Philadelphia friends born 1959 and later that is more them they have and we don't have a BB team.

Yeah, sucks for those who weren't around for them but they don't get to just wipe them away like they don't exist. Steelers are the most successful in the SB era. At least for a few more weeks anyway.

They should have been more aggressive in rebuilding the defense while they had a franchise QB in his prime.

We gave two away in 96 and 11 by turning the ball over. I think six is still relevant in the total body of work for the franchise.
