    S Lamarcus Joyner (Rams)
    S Eric Reid (49ers)
    S Kenny Vaccaro (Saints)

Any interest? Or real chance that Steelers make a play for them?

I would maybe trade Bryant if we could get a good safety or a quality ILB. But I think Bryant is still too much talent at a cheap price for one more year for them to pull the trigger on that idea.

They shouldn't trade Bryant unless they are getting back a really solid return. They need to just cut the dead weight salaries to use towards players who will actually contribute in few agency.

Retain as much as we can and bring on draft day. Some big fast boys who can do it all. #shazier :(

I imagine the Saints will keep Vaccarro, but it would be great to see him here.

I actually think Bryant's trade value may have increased the second half of the season. He was starting show some flashes of what he was a couple of years ago before the suspension. If we can parlay him into a solid defensive back or ILB, I'd certainly consider it, especially with JuJu's development this season.

I loved joyner coming out but i have no idea how he looks now. It will depend on the price. Money will be tight if we try and keep bell.

One thing is for sure, any of them would be a majir upgrade

Sorry, I can't believe you could get much for Matavis. He's one urine test from long term suspension, he's clueless on the field lots of time, he's bitched about playing time. I can't see anyone giving you more much for the guy.

Let's turn this around. Suppose the Steelers suddenly needed a WR - say AB and Juju decide to move to Tibet and seek enlightenment - what would you give up to get a guy like Bryant? A Joe Haden? A Vince Williams? Probably not. You'd give up a Mike Mitchel for him, but I suspect the other side would just as soon keep MB.

Look at our 2018 cap space and you can forget signing any free agents, we are next to bottom in cap space, and only 3 teams have a higher payroll than the steelers:

i don't want bryant going anywhere. we have the best 1,2,3 punch of any team with him and we saw AB go down this year so no way does bryant leave here any time soon i'd hope.

I am a little interested in Byrd, I have always wanted a ball hawk S and he sure is but his health is a concern. I loved Vaccaro coming out of college he was the guy I wanted that year in the draft however I am worried he has become to much like Mitchell going after the big hit.

Also at ILB I am interested to hear what people have to say about Zack Brown. I know he was talked about last year and a lot of people didn't like him but he played in 13 games and had 127 tackles which was good enough for 9th is the league. I know stats don't tell the whole story, how is he in pass coverage? IMO worth a look at with our current need at ILB and I am thinking Bowman is gonna be out of our price range.

I would add S Tre Boston to that mix..

PFF's best coverage safety 3/4 into the season, experienced as a single high

He's my FA target if I had to choose, still only 25 or 26 years old.

Yeah, he had a pre-draft visit with the Steelers. He'd be a good pick up. He had hernia surgery right around draft time, so he had a slow start, but he's been solid. He's probably not that ballhawk safety you're looking for, but he's a solid finisher for sure.

i too like him as the target. i think if mitchell is gone and it's a starting spot up for grabs we could probably lure a guy like him here. with mitchell here he may have thought twice about his chance to start over him, as MM was the incumbent.

Edgy take here, but I'm pretty over Mike Mitchell. Love the passion and toughness, don't like the product

Boys, we have to drop some cap space to do anything. Not sure where out cash is but someone has to go. Jacksonville has 75 first rounders and free agents and are still way below us

Heyward and Tuitt should take pay cuts for their ghostly performances. 3rd and 4th highest paid players next year??? Please.

Heywards ghostly performances? Was anonymous on Sunday but then so was everyone on D. He’s had a great year though on the whole!

Tuitts not delivered with since that big contract he got but I’m hoping the niggly bicep injury he’s had has been a factor and we see greater progress next year.

Everybody knew the key to beating the Jags was stopping the run and making Bortles throw. Tuitt talking about seeing them at breakfast. Jags were running for 5 yards a pop. Those 2 players and our d-line cost us the game. Bills stopped the run first and Jags only put up 10 points. We win if we can stop the run early.

Restructures, Mitchell out, and some other ways of cutting would allow for a good FA. It has to be S or ILB.

I would say Bryant has very little trade value, he's only under contract through 2018..... MB would likely hold out at the start of the season anyway if he didn't have a new deal.... not much incentive for another team to trade for him.

ok, so tell me I'm insane- but if you want a win now mentality- has anyone thought about a Martavis for Josh Gordon even up swap?

Like I said, tell me I'm insane.
