I didn't post much here this season due to the fact I let my emotions get the best of me when we lose but damnit man...... this loss hurts more than the Championship game we lost in 94". Any advice to get over this... please help.

It's just a game and you could be a Browns fan.

    You should feel better now.

What's your co-pay so I can bill your insurance?

What helps me is to realize that it is only for entertainment and that there are more important things in life to worry about. I know it hurts but don't let it consume you. Go about your day as usual because I guarantee the players are already doing that and aren't thinking about us fans. They are too busy spending the $$$$$ to worry about our feelings.

The losses doesn't affect me as much as they used to, the Jags probably did us a favor save the Steelers from getting embarrassed by the Patriots again .

Exactly, even if the Steelers some how came back and win yesterday on a last second FG. How could you seriously think they could with stand Tom Brady and Co. at home in Foxboro? It be down right ugly.

All we had to do against the Pats, was figure out how to stop Gronk, but from our past history, I'm not sure we have the coaching to figure it out.

The depressing part is our coaching won't improve as long as Tomlin is coach. So the Steelers will have to have a great run and some luck to win it all.

All this team needed was a decent coach to work around some things. Just don't have it.

It’s just a sport man only 1/32 teams win every year. Just root against the patriots or don’t watch (what I do).

It takes about a week to get over it but at the end of the day the Steelers had a good season with a lot of thrilling games.

I wouldn’t give that up for anything.

When I was a younger it used to bother me a lot more!It still bothers me but nothing like before with no real responsibilities. It is entertainment and the Steelers don’t pay for my bills as I have to get up and go to work whether they win or lose.Love them but they don’t help me with everyday responsibilities or pay for my children to go to college.I don’t know how old you are but you just have to put things in perspective.

I am the same way, a lot of people were asking what I broke or how bad was it at my house, lol. They were shocked when I told them it is all good and other than a few(maybe more than a few) choice words at the tv I was good.

I also agree coming here helps a ton, seeing others takes helps. I don't like to come on after a lose as my emotions are high and I feed off some of the negative posts. For the most part like now I like to come here vent and see where we go from here. The draft fa talks helps a ton as well

To the OP, drinking always helps me get over this..........lmao.

    No, it did not.

Steelers were pretenders all year long, barely winning vs. backup QBs. That '94 team was dominant and beat the hell out of opponents.

Let's not fool ourselves here. Had the Steelers played against Aaron Rodgers, Andrew Luck and Deshaun Watson... they would not be 13-3 or 2nd seed.

This loss didnt bother me at all, the way this season went I had a feeling the playoffs was going to end badly, there was too much internal turmoil for it to be a success, maybe it was a good thing for it to end here rather than in new england, ending it here exposed our coaching and player problems so there wont be any excuses next year since they now know what needs fixed, if they dont fix it, next year will end the same way this year ended if not worse....

We had one of our best teams the last time we had the number 1 hardest strength of schedule in the league, we had a good year and ended it with a 12-4 season, they seem to play better when they have stiffer competition in the regular season....

At first, I was really upset. We started closing the gap, and I was pretty proud how our boys overcame the deficit and got back in the game. I about lost my s&*t when we called for the onside kick, but like many of you, I enjoyed our season and our wins. I recovered fairly quickly!

Like others have said, it's just a game. In my teens and twenties, I lost sleep over a loss and kept the emotions bottled up inside week after week. But life goes on...kids, work, grandkids, retirement. This season gave me a LOT of great memories...sure, you think the Steelers wasted a great opportunity, but were you really all that confident in our defense all season? We dominated very few teams this year, and as another poster suggested, had we won Sunday's game, do you really think we would have gotten past the Pats? Sure, you can look at the regular season game against NE for all kinds of positives, but truth is, they have owned us for years. Hard to just let it go, everyone "grieves" in their own way. You need to look forward to the draft knowing that Ben wants to come back. Needle is pointing up.

Im bouncing back pretty well on this one. It's only Tuesday and I'm already thinking about next season. Probably Ben coming back has a lot to do with that, so the offense should still be good to go, even better without Haley should he get the axe (Sorry Jack).

The defense is less clear. Can't wait to dig into the draft, think this is the year to draft a hybrid safety/LB that I always love. Plus free agency, think they need to make a splash, fans say that every year but think its really important to this time.

Oh, so to answer the OP, tinkering with the roster is what gets me over a crushing season ending loss.

I’ll admit, I feel better after a loss by coming here and reading the bat****-crazy overreactions.

There should be an extra game with 2 teams that lost that can try to get back in!

Give 1 seed extra Bye week.
Have Steelers and Tennessee play this weekend.

Yeah I had some buddies text me saying I was going to break my tv, I was more disgusted especially at the defense than being upset.
