Are we still watching this nonsense? They would never tell Brady or Belicheat that. #BOYCOTT

Presumably the same reason they didn’t call unnecessary roughness when Ben got thrown down that time.

You have to despair when a multi billion dollar sport can only do this well for referees.

They would never tell Brady that because they would call it even if it wasn't a hold.

That's a big problem in the NFL, so much inconsistent with refs. There are some refs that would of called pass interference or holding on about 7 to 10 times against the Jags. Definitely on both of Brown's and Bell's touchdown catches.

Ben didn't get a couple helmet calls and a blatant roughing the passer (that ended up not mattering as we scored a TD in spite of the no-call) that some other sissy QB's would get either, because he is big and tough. Welcome to every team not called the Pats.

Can someone explain to me something, they didn't show a good replay in the stadium..... at some point in the 2nd quarter, we had a DL #96 called for "holding" on a big Fournette run.... the only brief replay they showed..... I didn't see #96, but I did see the Jacksonville Left Guard hold..... was that flag on us legit?

Yes it was legit. I believe it was Walton hold the inside front of the lineman's shoulderpads during wide left run.

The call was on Walton, but I definitely question it's legitimacy. Walton did get a hand on the lineman's collar for a second or two, but that kind of thing happens all the time. Not to mention he was getting grabbed, with 2 hands, by another O lineman. How often to you see an interior D lineman get called for holding? And I believe it was one of the only holding calls made all game. Pretty ridiculous.

What drives me nuts is, NOW the refs are "letting them play". If it's a penalty in week 3, it should be a penalty in the playoffs!

    I am not surprised.

This is just further indication that a strike is due to emerge once more.

Apparently you are. It's fixed I get it. When the refs looked the other way, when Hulk Hogan beat Andre the Giant did you have a month long spasm of outrage then too??

Walton did hold the Jacksonville guard, so that holding call was correct. However, the Jacksonville guard also held Spence right in the hole, allowing Fournette to break a big run. The officials blew the call by not throwing flags on both holds, and both of them were blatant. So while the penalty they called was correct, the Steelers still got screwed on that one.

Walton wasn't being held. The guy he was holding, however, was holding Spence. It should have been offsetting penalties that would have wiped out the big run.

Is there any legitimate sourcing on this? Yes, the referees missed the penalty, but is there any legitimate reporting that an official actually said it was because Smith-Schuster is big? Sounds bogus to me.

While that conversation proves that the league is complete BS when it comes to officiating these so called "Not Fixed" games, it does not excuse the fact that the Steelers never should have passed it there in the damn first place.

Just another reason not to pass there.
