I bet money this is what happens. He was being considered when they brought Haley in.

    :beg:

Get rid of Haley, Butler, Lake, and Porter.

And for one off season we can't even put a firing on the special teams coach for once.

As much flack as Haley gets, the problem wasn't the offense scoring 42 points.

The Offense (Ben) is good enough to overcome most of Haley’s inadequacies.
But if there’s a personal problem.....

A lot of people are going to point to 42 points being scored and say why is Haley the problem.

Not one but two 4th and 1 and we can't get them.
However on the one I think Ben called an audible to a pass from a run.

On the 1st series. After the jags walked right down main street for an easy touchdown.

He goes out a with 3 attempted pass plays, one of which was a formation that at Tackle Eligible Chris Hubbard, flanked out in the slot as a WR.
Chris GD HUBBARD!!!!! Are you serious. Now this was't a goal line situation, it was at their own side of the field.

Of course Steelers go 3 and out punt. Then boom next series ben throws a pick then boom up 14-0.

    No

Ficht should get it. Need Munch on the line and Ficht would be better at it anyway IMO. Plus I think Ben would have a lot of leeway with play calling. You see how the offense hums when in no huddle.

Or if you want to get really radical, promote Munch to HC.

Yeah because the offense went out and laid an egg yesterday since it only scored 42 points and obviously needed to score 49 to beat the high powered offense of the Jags led by the incomparable Blake Bortles.

Sorry, Randy Fichtner doesn't excite me. Who the crap is Keith Butler's replacement that's what I want to know this morning?????

And maybe they would have if not for a couple seriously stupid 4th down play calls.

Anyway, Haley problem is deeper then one game. He has to go and thank God looks like he has one foot out the door.

Hopefully Butler’s replacement throws out all of Lebeau’s notes.
It’s gotta be a totally new 2019 approach.

Sure it was. Had they scored 46 points, it wouldn't have been the problem.

i just wish I knew more of Fichtner play calling ability, just don't much about him or his background other then him being a QB coach.

Haley had some good play calls in with the bad yesterday, but I think the offense's success against the Jaguars was more a matter of superior talent than play-calling.

Bryant's touchdown before the half was a perfect throw that took advantage of the receiver's freakish talent. That was the extra gear we used to see more often before his year off. Maybe we will see it again next season.

The other fourth-and-long touchdown was another excellent throw and a great catch by Brown. Bell also made a hell of a catch on a touchdown. In both cases, the Jaguars had the guy well covered. The receivers just made spectacular plays. They also got a great game from McDonald. The offensive line protected Roethlisberger well most of the game and the Steelers had too many weapons for the Jags to cover them all. Haley gets credit for some of the success, but given the problems with Roethlisberger and blunders in big spots, I can see moving on.

More important would be getting rid of Butler, Lake and Porter. They all need to go. I know there are talent deficiencies on defense as well, but at some point the lack of development has to be put on the defensive staff.

Not a surprise but why does Finchtner deserve it? He was terrible as a QB coach. Landry Jones development is evidence of that.

I believe you might have misunderstood.

When I ended that non with a question mark, it was intended to be the snarky form of response as in, "Uh.. No?".
