heard that AB was sent home due to illness and tomlin did not want it to spread to teammates. hope the team stays healthy over the next several days. flu has hit hard here in California. even dogs are getting the flu (never heard this before). very bad flu season.

It's a bad flu this year. He's not going to be able to play full speed if at all. The typical flu attacks your lungs and lasts about 7-10days. Hope it's not actually the flu and maybe just a bad cold.

Surprised they didn't give the whole team a flu shot.

Can't remember the year, some time in the 80's, but the Redskins were in the SB and Riggins got the flu. He looked like hell before the game started and I believe the Skins got beat pretty bad.

Oct '83. The Skins beat the Raiders in a shoot-out.

Hmmm.... I remember it was the Super Bowl not a regular season game. The LA Raiders beat them in the SB.

Probably this game. Riggins was ineffective. Dont remember the flu part but that could explain why. Raiders crushed them.

Flu shot doesn’t cover very many strains and apparently this year they really missed a bad one.

I believe Dwight a White was hit so bad they sent him to the hospital. He went from the hospital bed directly to the stadium to get dressed for SB IX.

Man, we just can't catch a break with stuff. Is Brown going to be the next Jordan of '97 and ball out with the flu? geez

yep the flu shot this year is only about 10% effective i've been told. the strains were missed. my dad and step mom just got over it a while back. it was rough for them right up until Christmas. about 2 weeks of it. not looking good. time for the other guys to step up.

Posted this in bye-week-is-decimating-the-steelers but it fits better here.

AB should be brought back and hang out in the visitors locker room cough all over the place them turn the heat up and let that bug grow and mutate into something really nasty.

Then we can watch the Jags lose their sh!t in the second half lol.

I would like to see someone play full force with the flu. If you can then you are a beast

This is one catch I wish he would've dropped. Steelers should lock the team away into a bunker like Belicheat does. Keep them away from the germs!!

He’s playing. There’s no way he’s not. I read the game time decision was on the calf not the sickness. 2 full days of practice on it I’m sure he is going.
