why are we deciding to fix this now 18 weeks into the season? some heads need to roll. we shouldn't be at this point in our secondary still having to figure out who's not doing the proper thing. will our secondary ever be up to snuff? we have been adding players and fixing pass rush and we are still not there yet? c'mon man. really? this has been going on for many years now. just adding players to the problem doesn't seem like it's fixing concept.

Heads need to roll? For a 13-3 team? You’re not usually one to go for hysterics mac.

They just need Haden to get up to speed. Big difference when he's playing.

He changed the way coordinator Keith Butler could scheme against opposing offenses, including the one they most needed to stop. Specifically, Haden’s arrival allowed Davis to move full-time to strong safety, where he’s become a starter; it freed Coty Sensabaugh, a rare free-agent signee (from the Giants) to shift into the nickel corner role; and it meant that 33-year-old William Gay (a remnant of Pittsburgh’s last Super Bowl team) could play exclusively in dime packages. In essence, by adding Haden and sliding players down they improved at nickel, dime and down the line through the reserves. And that depth gave Butler the flexibility to add designer blitzes (astonishingly, corner Mike Hilton had three sacks in one game, against the Texans) and hybrid coverages.

Every team has things to fix at all points in the season. Maybe stash the headman’s axe for a little while...

I'd rather they worked on it v. ignored it.

I heard on the radio that the Steelers gave up 13 long pass plays. Saxonville gave up 12. Which offense is more able to complete the big play?

Does this mean the run defense is fixed?

Why is Carnell Lake still the Steelers' DB coach? He has proved he an excellent player but a piss poor coach. Drain the Lake.

We haven’t fixed the sack problem? I guess leading the league in sacks and breaking the team record is still struggling?

Hopefully it has gotten better. We are facing a run first team with a solid back. They will try to grind it out. Stopping the run is paramount in this contest as well as getting Bell the ball early and often. Going to be a highly physical game.

I went onto the jags board.. They seem to be worried about Fournette..they think he's hit the rookie wall and he's playing hurt..add the cold factor and I think we could be safe

the most 40+ yard completions in over two decades during the second half of this season. yea i guess there is no use getting excited about that since we are in the second round of the playoffs.

I came in hoping that "long ball" meant that Bryant was getting worked hard to pickup his long ball game. I'm not sure I'm terribly concerned about Bortles' long ball play, especially if we have a little wind Sunday.

I think we should be concerned about the deep ball off of play action. That’s really one of the few ways that Jacksonville can be successful in the passing game if we sell out to stop the run. Bortles is not capable of beating us with a consistent does of short and intermediate passes, and if they try to do that at any point in the game is a recipie for turnovers. However, anyone can go over the top of a defense that’s moving forward to stop the run. I’d be particularly concerned about a flea flicker. I think it’s very likely that we’ll see them try one on first or second down at some point.

Oh ok I misunderstood you. Yeah but the secondary is much better. Then it has been. Gotta keep Burns out of zone coverage.

We are facing " have no choice" but to run offense. They looked like hot garbage against the Jills and it was not all on Bortles

That's if Burns plays.. Left practice with an undisclosed knee injury. Have not seen nor read any updates. Could be minor
