We shouldn't have to stack the box. Tuitt and Heyward need to channel their Hawk and Animal and run wild Legion of Doom-style on every team we play.

Exactly. Pure Cover 3 to let everyone keep the play in front of them, and react to both the run and Bortles scrambling. As long as we don’t make catastrophic errors, Bortles will eventually need to throw downfield, and that’s when their turnovers can mount.

Discipline, discipline, discipline. Gap discipline and zone coverage discipline, and we’ll stop them cold.

If the Jags play like that next week we got it hands down. Buffalo lucked in to the playoffs anyway.

Do you not find it paridoxical in the insidious sense that what Jacksonville does best defensively is also its greatest weakness offensively? :hmm: :lolol:

Another tip of the cap to both Tomlin and Butler for prepping the defense this season to deploy a multi arrary of defensive looks and coverages; not to mention new wrinkes and formations.

    Or....

Maybe that, outside of Tre'Davious White, they lack blue chip front seven talent as it is currently standing.

We better not under estimate them. Not holding them to 10

I think if we don’t underestimate them, we can hold them to 10. Fournette has hit a wall and Bortles is horrible. DILLY DILLY!

I agree it’s not a good matchup for us but they haven’t been the defense they were mid season of late. I mean they beat the Bills 10-3. That’s not impressive at all. I think we will put up some points on them and stack the box. Let Bortles try to beat us. We don’t need Fournette getting loose. Hopefully we’ll have AB! If we don’t I still like Bryant, Juju, Bell, James, and Ben. We shall see on Sunday.

We really need to block Calais Campbell. If we can shut him down, the run and pass game will thrive. He is very disruptive, like Heyward, and they need to game plan to limit his effectiveness. Screens, draws, chipping him with a RB or TE, quick slants, whatever works.

You can say that again. I was hoping for Slippery Rock or Little Sister's of the Poor. But no, it has to be those pesky Jags!

The terrible matchups are the ones that the Steelers are supposed to CLEARLY beat like the Titans.

Anyone can be beaten in this league and if you play like you are only half interested and take a team lightly it can turn out to be a disaster.

Being that the Steelers beat the Titans so handily in the regular season, I feel like the Steelers would have taken them lightly.

The Jaguars are a formidable opponent no doubt and will be an extremely tough out but however, I feel more comfortable with a matchup against teams like them because I know the Steelers are more likely to bring their A game than not, win or lose.

The Titans though? Playing teams such as them make me feel really uneasy.

He had 95 in week 5 and Fournette had a 6.5 per rush attempt (181 total) which included a 90 yard gallop with 2 minutes left in the game. So, yeah it goes on the stat sheet but, garbage time yards.

It will be cold 20 degree day, I look for Jville steady diet of Fournette. Bortle's play action
about 20 times. Steelers have to tackle well, Steelers get their shine on 23-14

They scored 10 points against the Bills at home. They are coming to Heinz. They will need to score more. Not happening.

Agree with the comments to not stack the box and make Bortle beat us with his arm. It sounds too much like the Tebow debacle in the playoffs. I do like our chances since our secondary should be able to do better in this game. It’s a great sign for our offense that Ben wants to play thr Jags.

Bills could have won that game. Turnovers killed them. I think the Steelers can beat the Jags... but I had to pick against the Steelers for karma and good luck.

So the jags lost to the colts, lost to the jets, lost to the titans twice, lost to the cardinals, lost to the 49ers and they are supposed to be feared and that includes losing their last two regular season games, they arent on the same level as this steeler team and playing in 20 degree weather will put the chill in em and send them back home out of the playoffs, and the titans just might upset NE saturday and set up the AFCC game at heinz.........

hey man, contain yourself. take that back lol

    let's regroup.

Why I think we will lose.

Still can't stop the run, and bortles is due for an explosion. They have the confidence now and they will steam roll us while we looked surprised on the sidelines.

No shaz means our defense will be out there long drives.

    Jags 43 Steelers 6 in a bloodbath.
