Ahhhhh 1994 that great franchise, the San Diego Chargers, had there one and only great moment coming into the Burgh and whipping our butt. Still sticks in my craw, think the 49ers would have handed it to us in the SB but still would have like to given it a shot.

That was the last playoff appearance of the old Browns before they moved to Baltimore. The expansion team the league put in Cleveland in 1999 has only made the playoffs once, in 2002. That team also lost to the Steelers in Pittsburgh.

I think you’re right on that one. I was so pissed after we lost to the Chargers but that 49ers team would have beat us handily.

You think he's still salty about that loss? How many SB's does he have since then? He's not salty about a loss over 20 years ago. With that said, I'm sure he'll be pissy if we beat them this year, which we have the talent to do

Dude John L. Williams was the man! Miss that guy!

Man I'm still mad at the 1996 playoffs where we went up to NE and got beat:

We should have crushed the Patriots that year. It was just some flukey game where we didnt get off the bus.

I figured. I just like making fun of the Browns' history and pointing out that the real old Browns franchise is the one in Baltimore now. The current Browns are an expansion team with a history that goes back to 1999.

Agreed. I was lucky enough to be in the stadium for that one. And I do mean lucky, because the roads were treacherous and icy. I temporarily lost control and damn near skidded through a red light and into traffic on McKnight Road trying to get there.
