The factual part is he gets hurt all the time. Pre-seaon - hurt. Early season - hurt. Later in season - hurt for the rest of season. His style will get him hurt all the time.

I didn't like drafting Conner in the 3rd, I thought he was more of a 4th or 5th rd RB.

Lot of players have the injury bug. Has nothing to do with running up right.

Good clip Watt! I had the good fortune of meeting "Kyle" (Michael Biehn) in late 90's on a 4 day rafting trip in Hell's Canyon of the Snake River. Very nice humble guy, possibly one of the biggest actors who nobody knows his name - was in Tombstone, Aliens, The Abyss, The Rock and I had no clue who he was. Quite embarrassing later when I researched and found out who he was and all the big parts he had in movies. My Daughters took one look at him on the first day of the rafting trip and both said: "OMG - Dad - that's Johnny Ringo!"

Big Michael Bienhn fan, cool that you got to meet him.

I was a kid when Terminator came out, thought he was the coolest guy, followed his career after that.

Weird seeing him as a bad guy as Johnny Ringo but played it well. "Smells like somebody died"

Ridley is better now, but Connor is only a rookie.

    Let's see in 3 years.

Not sure what James Conner you have been watching. Led ACC in rushing his Sophmore year, was voted offensive MVP of ACC
Scored about a zillion touchdowns his Pitt career. Was never utilized this year by the Steelers,
so tell me if you don't get a chance, how can you show what you got? Same with James Harrison.
Dirty 30 will rise, as coach T say's his arrow is pointing up. Hail Pitt.

Folks if you think James Conner is the next Le'vean Bell you are sadly mistaken.

James can be a reliable back up and good special team player. He is NEVER going to run

for 1500 yds/season. But he will give you everything he has on every play to the best of his abilities.

He ran well against the Browns. The Browns went 0-16.

andre williams ran for over 2k in the ACC and ended up garbage in the NFL, really only one or 2 good defenses in the conference especially back when williams was at BC. Conner doesn't look the part for an NFL player

Steelers have only 1 proven RB on the roster. Steelers had better depth last year with Bell and Williams. RB is definitely a position that needs to be addressed.

Ridley was on his couch before we signed him. Conner was supposed to be some beast. I don't think he will ever stay healthy for very long. His running style doesn't work in the NFL.

At least he was available to run. Conner rarely is or will be.

There are exceptions to rules. ED was very unique. JC is no ED.

Are we really judging Ridley's "greatness" on his game against the Browns?? We're all great against the Browns and by "We're all great" I mean EVERYONE.

And Ron Dayne ran for more yards than anyone in the history of div. 1 football...and then what? Stunk as NFL player - ran too upright. A lot of experts predicted he would suck as a pro (and I didn't believe them). They were right. Almost every time I see JC run the ball, I cringe, because with each tackle he seems like he gets dinged in some way. That won't change. He is a PR pick, but won't be productive.

:lolol: This is too funny. I was just coming to post that there used to be a guy who called Bell Tinker Bell, ran too upright and how Steelers were stupid for picking him over Lacy.

    Howd that pan out.

No. That dude was a grammar nightmare. At least this guy can form a sentence even if he has no idea what he's talking about.

i'm sure he's a real nice guy but that's practice squad guy numbers, not a 3rd round pick type of production imo. was a PR move to draft the kid
