Ridley better than Connor

I said this after we drafted JC but I was hoping I was wrong.

JC runs too upright and will take too many hits to have a long or productive NFL career.

He is going to be hurt often. He was a bad draft pick.

Ridley comes in off his couch and is already better.

I know the Steelers were going for "local hero boy" angle but JC just isn't going to do much. Ridley is the better back and is more reliable.

 

Wow. You've deduced that from one game. Unless you're a NFL GM it really seems you missed your calling.

Connor could have been the workhorse today.

 

Absolutely, experience... And a consistent load of touches. If Connor was healthy it would've been his stage today and I'm pretty sure he would've done pretty good behind a pieced up O line.

Ridley was unemployed two weeks ago for a reason. He looked good today against the worst team in the NFL. It's a bit much to say he is better than Connor. It is a shame Connor didn't get to play today. I would have loved to see what he can do as the featured back.

 

It’s a good argument to have knowing LB will be rested up and Fitz is not the only option behind him.

I like Connor but he will definitely craft his skills if he gets/stays healthy.

Ridley and Fitz both looked pretty good. The reversed fumble always raises eyebrows. I believe it was Fitz that coughed it up against the Doncos a few years ago in playoffs.

 

Ridley is a keeper for sure but better, don't know yet.

I'm two people's brother, but one of them is an Eagles fan, so I'm not sure he counts.

Ridley ran well the last 2 weeks. Lets home he can spell Bell the rest of the way.

It was, Ridley looked good today. Run game kinda went awol when finned came up lame

 

Connor needed this game to get a good look. He flashed good ability but never got to establish an entire game. I guess the best quality is availability, gotta stay in there. Be a good battle in camp next summer

Best ability is availability hahaha and yes I agree, would've been nice to see him towing the load today.

 

I completely forgot we had Ridley. Why in the world is he not backing up Bell? He was really good with NE. He showed what he can do today and Conner isn’t a pass catcher. Ridley is a lot like Dion Lewis and he’s really good. We can use the versatility at the running back position when Bell’s taking a breather. I don’t get why he’s not active.

 

Ya but Conner has played way more with us than Ridley has.

I was worried about Ridley since he was fumble machine back with the Cheats. He lost it 3 times in one game.

 

I’m not lending credence to the op’s thoughts by any stretch of the imagination. The browns are the worst team in the nfl;however, they have a very good run defense. They’re only allowing 3.6 or 3.7 ypc. Pretty sure that’s best in the league.

 

Ridley was unemployed until they signed him when Connor got hurt. This was only his second game with the Steelers.
