How will Steelers Nation represent today?

Playing an 0-15 team, missing all our stars, in sub zero temperatures?

    What are yinzers made of?

Hopefully they pack Heinz Field! Don't let us down!

I remember going to a prime time game against the Bengals a couple years ago when playoffs were still on the line, but it was a cold night (albeit warmer than right now). The stadium was hardly packed. I’m guessing the fans will rest their starters as well....but here’s hoping!

There should be empty seats. Did you see that inactive list? Brown, Bell, Roethlisberger, Pouncey, DeCastro and Heyward are all on it. I miss Pittsburgh and it's been way too long since I got to go to a game at Heinz Field, but no way I'd be going. I'm not even sure I want to watch it on television.

Starting backups to protect the starters is one thing, but leaving all of those guys inactive, so you can't even plug some in if the Jets look like they might pull off the miracle? It's a terrible decision and a slap in the face to the fans who are showing up today.

It’s a GREAT decision. I just hope Haden sees very few snaps as well.

If I was paying around $500 for a lower level seat I surely would be there, a shame to pay that kind of money to see back up players.

Let's see you sing that tune if the Jets win or if the Steelers look like like crap early and lose in the divisional round, because the latter may take a minor miracle, but the former is a very real possibility and it will fall on Tomlin's head.

Even if the Steelers were to win the first seed it would be a moot point if Ben or Bell were to get injured and be out for a significant amount of time. Fact is, the Jets and Petty/ Hackenberg have very little chance to win in Foxborough today, and should that happen even with our back ups in we still have a decent shot of beating the Browns.
Bottom line, it's just not worth the risk.

Think back to how many playoff games we’ve played in recent years without key players, or players who played hurt. Remember playoff games without Bell (or even without Bell and DWill)? Without AB? Without Pouncey? With Ben playing injured in 2011 and 2015? The “Tebow” game W/O Clark, Pouncey, Mendy, plus Hampton, Keisel and Starks being lost early in the game? I do.

The Jets winning was never a “very real possibility”.

If the Steelers lose in two weeks, how can we definitively know rust was the cause?

I was there along with my wife, son and daughter-in-law. It was cold but had a great time! Would NOT have been happy had we handed the Browns their first win of the season but it's all good since we won the game. Definitely a lot of empty seats today with fewer than 51,000 in attendance. That's okay, no long lines at the concession stands or the bathrooms, lol.

Now the real season begins! Go Steelers!! :towel::yeehaw:

I watched most of the Patriots game today because I am a HUGE JH fan. and they too had empty seats, meaningless game, single digits... no big deal.

Saw in the paper this AM where they only had a little over 50,000 at the game Sunday, the lowest attendance in the league for Sunday games.

I'm honestly surprised attendance was as high as it was. Before the game Ed Bouchette said he thought the stadium would be less than halfway full. 51000 given the circumstances seems about right.

He made a nice break on one play and almost came away with an int.

Haden played like he had most of the day off.

I am really surprised, against 0-15 team resting starters and 5 degree weather. No Thanks.
