I think that is a response I can live with.

I don't think his exit taints his legacy as a Steeler.

I am hoping down the road when Harrison is giving his Canton speech that there will be many terrible towels being waived.

Though it doesn't make it OK, the fact that he owned up by saying, "Maybe I didn't handle my frustrated the best I could've" made me feel a bit better.

I'm not upset that he was let go.. It's going to the Pats and taking photos with Marsha that set things off

Screw that. He asked to be inactive and then left the stadium pouting when they did it. I bet he cashed his participation pay checks.

I agree. There seems to be alot of this smell around the steelers these days. In the workplace this is what happens when there's poor leadership running things. I'm curious how things will go after Ben.

That said I think we are easily the most entertaining team in the NFL. Game day and during the week. We consistently provide the most exciting games, highlights, and side stories. I've had many non steeler fans tell me they love watching steeler games this year.

No way harrison makes the HOF. He basically had 5 great seasons and that's about it. Kevin Greene made the HOF with 160 sacks. Von Miller and Harrison have basically the same number of sacks and Miller is 10 years younger.

He's great and probably my favorite player from this era but I don't think he is canton worthy.

Only makes me despise him more and YES in my eyes his legacy is ruined although he was never in my top 5 Steelers LB's of all time to begin with.

For those of you who defend Harrison think about it this way, he choose his OWN selfish wants and needs over the TEAM needs. On any team in any sport not everyone can be a starter, every TEAM has a bench, role players, position and or utility players who are just as important as the starters. Their job is tougher because they have to stay ready for when and IF called. There are many ways Harrison could have helped the TEAM from the bench but his OWN pride and frustration with Tomlin and ownership would not let him. How can you be 39 going on 40, been in the league for over 15 years and not want to give back to a younger generation coming in after you? The fact that so many many of the current Steelers bash him speaks volumes. The fact that he has to try to defend himself by throwing TJ Watts name in the mix is embarrassing. (If you are mentoring from the heart you dont have to talk about who you're helping)
Its a selfish prick move and the fact that he choose the Patriots of ALL teams after some of his comments about that organization speaks volumes about the man; he's nothing more than a 59k rent a whore.

He didn't leave cause the Patriots were the highest bidder in a contract year and he wanted to get paid that one last contract. He left cause he cant accept the fact that he's done as a starter and is no more than a role player, a role player that could have worked on his craft of being a better pass defender, a brother to his teamates, and at the very least a fitness ambassador to the team but again pride got in the way.

You guys can defend Harrison and bash Tomlin all you want but the Pats will use Harrison for the Jet game to rest their LB's and then cut him once they get back Van Noy or one of their receivers

    Disgusted!

This supports my statement in the other thread , As stated not really a this guy over you thing , more of a change in Strategy . I am sure the Team intended to play him until they saw the difference Haden made . At that point his PT went out the window because of a policy shift .

The truth is probably somewhere in the middle.
He should have never signed with the Pats. He knows how despised they are by the Steelers and their fans.
This "It's a business deal" thing is BS. These are fans that supported you for years. And you go and do that. Could have been any other team except maybe the Ravens.
He's legacy is ruined for the near future.

Boo hoo. Honestly, act like a man.

Let's cut the BS. Going straight to New England was for one main reason- giving the Steelers the middle finger. Just like going to Cincinnati was.

He wanted to play, Steelers didn't play him. Patriots called, told him he'd play, all the other BS is just high school drama.

Yep. If it’s a business decision, then stick to it that line. If it’s a sob story, then go for that. If it’s a “I’m such a competitor I can’t sit on a bench”, then stick with that. Trying to run all three together comes across as a bit weak.

Sorry, but I disagree with most of the charged posts herein and choose to keep my rose-colored glasses on in regards to JH. He's a highly competitive, over-achieving loner freak of a player who gave Pittsburgh fans more than their moneys worth over the years. At this point he will make about as much impact with NE as Franco did with the Seahawks back in the days. The vitriol around here is sick - talk about lynch mob mentality. If I can quote Don Henley - "Get Over It!" Your team is 12-3 and heading into an exciting playoff run. Smell the roses. :steelflag:
